Hi! I do not own pokémon so don’t sue me! This is in a different timeline than the end of Misty. If you know me you know I write dark-type fan fiction. Don’t expect anything else. Information is always at the end. Send comments and criticism to [email protected]

Part 3

Ash looked out of his cave. Zapdos was standing next to him. “So why did you do it?” asked Zapdos. “Do what?” said Ash. “Burn down Pallet town, of course. I mean, you haven’t been there in years. What made you do such a thing? Was it just a spur-of-the-moment action, or did you actually plot this out?”

“I always plot things out.” Said Ash, stroking his sibling’s golden feathers. “Are you worried that we will not be able to take them on? If you are, I suggest you go practice your moves.” Zapdos voiced his opinion by thundershocking his younger brother, who grimaced and said, “Okay, okay, I get the point!”

Elsewhere…

Misty and others in boats anxiously watched the approaching shore of Ice Island. She breathed deeply to calm herself as an officer Jenny headed to the front of a boat and shouted through a megaphone “Ash Ketchum, we know you’re in there! Now get out here and beg forgiveness for your most heinous crime, or else your sentence will be even heavier once we find you!” There was no answer from the island. Misty started to wonder whether this was a wild goose chase or not. It had been four years since she had seen Ash. Perhaps he had moved…

There was an uncanny silence in the air. The only sound that could be heard was the lapping of waves against the sides of the boats. People relaxed and kicked back, thinking that for a small operation like this, they shouldn’t worry. Perhaps it was all very simple. How could a human be a legendary bird? It was probably just a runaway ditto with a head for mischief. Yes, that was it. Unfortunately for those, they learned the hard way that you should never let your guard down when in enemy territory…

Suddenly, everything went dark. The sky was literally covered with hundreds of flying pokémon, led by the six legendary birds. The surface of the sea hissed and foamed as the concealed water pokémon shot up and started firing off attacks. From underneath the surface of the beach ground and rock pokémon popped out, while other pokémon rushed towards the beach from hiding places behind rocks, boulders, trees etc. Pandemonium struck as the boats overturned.

Misty quickly threw out Starmie, Staryu, Seadra (horsea evolved), Golduck (Psyduck evolved), and a Tentacruel Gary had gotten for her. Gary had taken to the sky on the back of his Pidgeot, unaware that Zapdos had left the flock of flying pokémon and was following him with deadly intent…

Misty and some luckier people made it to the surface of the water without being attacked. Most others were not as lucky, the water floated with corpses and the water pokémon attempted to drown those who were not fast enough. Misty hung on to Starmie and escaped to the beach because her four other pokémon had been protecting her. But when she got there, a Raichu and an Electrode immediately attacked her. Things were not looking good for her. When she looked upwards, she saw Zapdos let out a devastating Thunder attack as Gary and Pidgeot plummeted towards earth at the speed of light. Misty gripped on to Starmie and cried to her pokémon “Hydro Pump!” The five pokémon instantaneously shot powerful streams of water at the Raichu and Electrode. The electrode fainted but the Raichu immediately raised its short little arms, as if in prayer, and shot out an enormous bolt of multicolored electrical energy, which knocked out all but Starmie and Golduck.

Gary managed to throw out his Fearow in a desperate attempt to catch himself as he fell to earth. When he hit the sand, an Eevee ambushed him. The Eevee let out a cry and a hydro pump, a fire blast, and a thunderbolt were let loose from it’s mouth. That was the last thing Gary saw before he blacked out.

Misty told her two pets to use ice beam, which froze the Raichu. Ash frowned and jumped down from his perch. “Raichu, are you all right?” he asked with concern in his voice. The Raichu whimpered at the sound of her master’s voice. “Return. “Ash commanded with anger in his voice. Misty kicked at his legs but Ash leapt out of the way, wings unfurling as he rose. “So Misty, we meet again.” Said Ash. He sounded sad with touches of anger and impatience.

“What have you done, y-you murderer?” asked Misty looking at him with horror. Ash leered at her. “I simply destroyed all those who wished to do away with me,” Said Ash. “Of course, if you had not shown them they way, I would not have killed them. Look what has happened.” Misty looked. It seemed like everyone but her and Ash was dead. Weary, slightly injured pokémon started settling around Ash. Flying type, water type, normal type, etc. They all looked at her with the same look in their eyes.

Ash looked at her with a slight hint of amusement. “Interesting. The one who deserves to die the most survives. How very ironical. Do you realize that you bear the weight of all their deaths on your shoulders? No, of course you don’t. You care for nothing but your arrogant stuck-up boyfriend, your five pokémon, and your wealth!” Ash’s last few words ended in an accusing tone that made Misty feel very ashamed.

“No matter. Nobody can stop me now.” Said Ash. Just then, a burst of pick energy slammed into him. Ash looked up in surprise that soon turned to anger as he spotted Crysta. “You.” He growled, energy swirling around him ominously. Misty prudently took a step back. That was good for her, because Ash’s next move was to fire off his Desert Storm attack. Crysta cowered as energy ripped into her and she was slammed against the mountain. (Recover!) Most of her wounds closed up and she looked at Ash with fresh fury shining in her blue eyes.

Ash’s pokémon all glowed briefly for a second, before rising up again looking fine. “What the-they looked hurt a minute ago!” cried Misty. Ash grinned as he dropped to the ground and prepared a Thunderbolt. “That was Heal. I was given the power to create and destroy, but also the power to help those who I wished. I do not wish for any of my pokémon to die because of me, even though they would all willingly do so.” He ended by letting loose a Thunderbolt, which struck Crysta dead on.

“Crysta!” cried Tracey, who had mysteriously appeared. “You monster! You hurt Crysta! You’ll pay for this! Scyther, Mariruri (Azumarril), Venomoth go!” Ash’s eyes glowed briefly as he flung a Psychic at the three pokémon, knocking out Scyther and severely damaging Venomoth. Mariruri (Azumarril) got up quickly and threw a bubblebeam at Ash, followed by Venomoth letting out a Solarbeam. Ash dodged the Solarbeam, which hit Crysta, and threw a Mega Drain at Mariruri (Azumarril), which canceled out the Bubblebeam attack. Meanwhile, Misty, Starmie, and Golduck were behind Ash, waiting for the right moment to attack…

Ash let off a Fire Blast, which took care of Mariruri (Azumarril). Just then, Crysta got up again and shot a Psychic at him. At the same time, Starmie let out a Hydro Pump and Golduck let out a Thunderbolt. (Hey, psychic types can learn anything.) The combination of attacks hit Ash dead on. With his defense lowered and water conducting electricity, Ash screamed as he was hit. Misty and Crysta gave each other high-fives.

Ah, but celebration too early is not a good thing. Ash slowly rose to his feet and his eyes blazed even brighter. Misty and Crysta were not paying any attention, and Tracey’s scream of watch out! Was too late. In a split second, 7 beams of multicolored energy had slammed into Misty and Crysta, severely damaging Crysta and ending Misty’s life then and there. Deciding that the most prudent thing to do now would be to run away, Crysta ran over to Tracey and teleported them both out of there.

Ha! The end of this chapter. Well, do you like it? Hate it? E-mail me!

Information

Desert Storm: I will be using this attack a lot. It's a mixture of flying, electric, and ground energy in the form of a cyclone that rips whatever it hits apart. Literally destroying it. It's very powerful and can be learned by most pokémon if they have a special bond with their owner. It's like a combination of fissure, sky attack, and thunder, since it's an ultimate attack. Get the point?

Heal: Its like recover, only you use it to heal other pokemon. Sort of like a highly upgraded version of soft-boiled egg.

Eevee: She’s from the Pokémon Adventure series and has the combined power of all her possible evolutions.
