Hi! I based my fanfic off Crysta’s story called “whispering darkness (part 11)” because she hasn’t updated in nearly a year or more and I really didn’t like the way she portrayed Ash as a no good ungrateful brother of a girl-turned-mew so this is my interpretation. Also, it takes place right after part 11 because that’s her last chapter. It does not tie in with the End of Misty at all, because in this version, Ash had known that he was Destiny from a young age and this happens before the events in “Revelation Lugia /The power of one.” “” Is speech, () is pokémon speech, and ** is thoughts.  Charizard is staying on Fire Island with Moltres. So, Ash does not have him.

Part 1

Ash stopped crying as his eyes narrowed to mere slits. *So, that girl wants me to believe she’s my older sister. It isn’t that simple. I can tell when my memories have been messed with only too well. Stupid girl, she thought that I was just an ordinary human kid. I’ll show her. Misty and pikachu-they’ve abandoned me as well, so I’ll just leave them behind. * Ash got up, dusted himself off, and headed off into the forest, not caring if Misty and Pikachu were going to follow him or not. Probably not, considering the fact that they hadn’t liked him in the first place.

            A few hours later…

Misty looked outside, expecting to see Ash returning, because it had started pouring, but she was disappointed. There was no sign of him. Pikachu looked slightly worried, but then she remembered how stubborn Ash could be. She sighed and let out a “Pi!” to indicate her annoyance. Crysta frowned. “It serves Ash right. He just won’t believe I’m his sister. He can drown out here for all I care. “ Tracey comfortingly put an arm around her.

A flash of lightning lit up the center for a moment. Pikachu gasped, Ash was there at the door and he looked angry. “So. You finally accepted the fact that I was your sister.” Said Crysta happily. “I never said that.” Said Ash, anger creeping into his voice. “I have no sisters other than Moltres, Articuno, and Serebi (Celibi). You are a liar. No matter. I’m leaving and you’ll never see me again. I don’t care if it’s the middle of the Indigo League Championships; I am never coming back until you stop lying! I am not just an ordinary person who you can fool!”

Crysta’s temper flared as she lashed back. “Well, if it weren’t for me, Misty would still be blind! I hate you! You never even thanked me for curing her!”

Ash laughed, and it wasn’t pleasant. “You really think so? Well, if you’re so special, it has nothing to do with me. Anyways, I’ll just leave. You can keep my poké balls. You can keep Pikachu. I’ll be fine on my own.” He laughed insanely as he reached for his amulet.

Flash

In an instant, Ash was gone. Destiny stared at them with glowing golden eyes. Its razor-sharp wings swept the floor as it regarded them coldly. “Mews are no match for me, pitiful human. I am warning you, do not try to lie to me again, or the results may be very unpleasant. Pikachu, I’m disappointed in you. I thought you would stick with me. However, since you have made your choice, it is of no concern of mine now. Enjoy your life with Misty and my ‘sister’.” He swept out of the room and was gone in an instant.

Pikachu interrupted the silence by letting out a mournful “pika!” of sorrow. Crysta opened the rest of the poke balls. Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Pidgeot, and Lapras all glared at her. “Bulb, bulb, bulb, bulbasaur!” (Stupid girl. She’s made our master abandon us!) “Squirt, squirt, squirt, squirtle!” (I know where he is. I’m not staying here.) “Pidgeot!” (You do?) “Lap, lap, lap, lapras.” (I’ll take you.) In an instant, bulbasaur and squirtle were on Lapras’ back and they were heading towards the beach. Pikachu followed them quietly.

Misty and Crysta were wide-eyed in astonishment. Apparently Ash’s pokémon were more loyal then they had thought. They silently followed the small group of monsters heading away. In a matter of hours, Lapras was surfing across the ocean with Pidgeot on her head and Squirtle and Bulbasaur on her back. Soon, she reached the Orange Archipelago. Crysta and Misty were still watching when Lapras abruptly stopped on the shore of an island. It let out a loud “Lap!” to announce its presence.

Misty and Crysta watched in astonishment as the legendary titan of ice, Articuno herself, flew out of the cave with Ash on her back.  Ash smiled and sprayed hyper potion on Lapras to heal her up. Then he touched his belt and the four pokémon disappeared in flashes of light. Then, Ash turned his attention to Misty, Crysta, and Pikachu. He frowned.

“Didn’t I tell you to leave me alone!?” cried Ash. “What are you doing here?” “We followed Lapras.’ Said Crysta smugly. Ash narrowed his eyes and reached for a poke ball. “Butterfreedom, go!” A huge, six-feet tall butterfly with rainbow-colored wings trimmed in black. Its red eyes gleamed with anticipation. “What in the world?!” cried Crysta. Ash smirked. “Butterfreedom, the evolution of butterfree at lv.500+. Pretty good huh? I got it back after it divorced its mate.”

“Staryu, Starmie, Goldeen, Horsea, go!” cried Misty. “Attack it!” * to get Ash to speak up we probably have to beat him first. *

“Heheheh. Ice Spore!” Spores shot out of Butterfreedom’s wings and froze Goldeen and Horsea. “Swift!” yelled Misty. Staryu and Starmie immediately shot small stars at  Butterfreedom, hitting it. “Recover.” Said Ash with a smile. *Fools, do you actually think you can beat me? * Butterfreedom glowed rainbow for a second and then launched a Psychic, knocking out Staryu. However, Starmie managed to use Barrier in time.

“Starmie, use your Bubble Beam attack!” yelled Misty. Starmie obliged by shooting millions of bubbles at its opponent. Ash laughed wickedly. “Thunder Spore!” Butterfreedom sent out another wave of spores, but these were golden and sparks of electricity were leaping from them. Coupled with Starmie’s weak defense and weakness to electricity, the poor star shaped pocket monster was quickly dispatched.

“Mew!” cried Crysta as she transformed back and angrily glared at Ash.  Ash grinned and turned into a mew also, mocking her. His fur was jet-black and he had a double set of black wings coupled with a whippy tail. His golden eyes blazed with anger. He stood opposite from Crysta, waiting for her to make her move. (Psychic!) cried Crysta inside her head. Ash countered that with Hypnosis, followed by Sleep Powder and Dream Eater. Crysta fought the urge to sleep but it was no use. She blacked out.

“What did you do?!” cried Misty. “I simply fainted her.” Said Ash calmly. “I didn’t use any of my stronger combination attacks, so you should be grateful. Why are you so intent on following me anyways? I thought you didn’t like me so that’s why I left! You’ve rejected me oh so many times that I can’t even count. And if this is about your bike money, I’ll more than pay it off so you can leave alive!”

Misty stared at Ash in abject shock in disbelief. Was this the dumb, swellheaded trainer she had known? Or was this a different person altogether? “You’re not Ash!” she cried. “Ash would never be so cruel!”

“Oh, but I am Ash.” Said Ash, “Humans are so easily impressed. You simply assumed I was a rotten trainer because I hardly won any battles. We’ll I’m telling you that it was all just a show. I’m an excellent actor but you never knew that, did you? All my pokémon are level 500 or more, but they can act too. I never really got bulbasaur, charmander, or squirtle. Those were just memories I placed in your heads. Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander have been living with me longer than I could count. Charizard never really evolved, that was ditto. I’m a great liar, no?”

Misty was still staring at Ash in utter shock. “Y-you are a pokémon?” “Of course. All my pokémon obey me because we know the meaning of friendship. It may not seem like that, but I’m not lying. But enough chitchat. I’m teleporting you off this island.”

“What about Crysta?” asked Misty. “Her? I’m letting her go.” Said Ash, looking undisturbed. “But you tried to kill her!” screamed Misty. “What kind of a person are you anyway?”

Ash just grinned. “I’m not normal. But remember, I do not like trespassers and if you tell anyone about this, I won’t go easy on you. I will achieve my dream sometime later. Good-bye, Misty.” Then Misty blacked out. When she awoke she was in Cerulean. *Was it all a dream? I’ll never know. But something inside me says that the danger is past, so I hope I will be okay. *

Information! :)

Ice Spore: This attack is ice/grass. It sends what looks like miniature snowflakes at the opponent, freezing them instantly. It's very accurate. Only extremely high-level grass pokémon bonded with their master can learn it, and only if they don't evolve.

Thunder Spore: This attack is electric/grass. It sends out gold spores that crackle with electricity. When they hit the target, they will change to pure electric energy.

I know, I haven’t mentioned Tracey at all :( . Oh well. I think he’s a minor character, so it doesn’t matter. Besides, he didn’t follow them to Ice Island anyways.
