When I saw the
Two of you together
I knew you were not
Mine completely anymore
When I saw the happiness
In your eyes
I knew that you two
Were meant to be
When I saw the love
In his eyes
I knew that you
Were his only angel
When I saw the affection
Radiating between you
I knew that not even death
Would take you apart
I knew somehow that
That day would come
But what I did not expect
Was to see you gone
There it was
That fateful day in the winter
Where everything that I hold dear
Was gone in front of my eyes
You the daughter that
I gave my name to
And he the son
That I hoped to have
I wanted to see you
Happy and alive
But not right now
Not like this
I will set you free
And send you away
In hopes that you will meet
And fall in love again
This time things
Will be different
This time things
Will change
This time it will not
Be me that would holds you dear
Not in flesh
But in spirit
This time you will live again
But without me there
You will have another to lean on
Another to call mother
But I will always be there
In spirit watching you
Keeping you close
Watching you grow
This I will do and see
As I hold this crystal near me
I give my life to you
My daughter, my son
So that you may find
Eternal happiness
In the blue marble
In the sky
