We are soldiers,
Lonely soldiers.
The cry of our hearts,
Only for battle.
Is that why we live?
They all watched as the blood dripped
down the wound in her chest. She looked up at them one last time and then
collapsed. Her body soaked in her own blood mixed with the rain. Kento
stared down at her, as he picked her up into his arms. He just watched
as she drew out her last breath. Her hand gracefully slipped out of his
hand, as her life slipped out of her body. A single tear dripped down his
cheek.
In a delicate dream,
I leave my body...
He just held onto her body, not
letting go. He, wishing he could join her, be with her forever.
Red blood flows on,
Crying for a moment.
Even when I am alone,
I cannot protect...
He banished his armor and held her
body closer to his. Wanting to just switch places with her. All he wanted
to see was her bright violet eyes, and her bright face and personality,
but he knew it could never be. The one person he held close, the
one person he cheerished the most, was gone.
Rain strikes the window, one person
I want to see,
Is gone...
The title of this fic came from
my most favorite image song from the Yoroiden Samurai Troopers cd, Kimi
o Nemurasenai. The song is called Lonely Soldeirs, and it is sang by Shuu.
Note: I changed the last line because
I thought it fit better then the original, which was, 'This day is becoming,
dimming'.
Also, Reiko *does not* die. I wrote
this because I thought it would fit with the song. I actually pictured
this happening when I
listened to the song.
I got the translation of the song
from Theria's page.
