Pumpkin Designs
I love to carve pumpkins. They just look so cool when you light them up. The messy part is cleaning it though. I have four big and beautiful pumpkins waiting to be carved in my kitchen. Last year I decided to have an anime pumpkin and I made a design of Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing. This year I thought it would be awesome if I made a CCS design. Then I thought it'd be even more fun if I shared my designs with everyone. I plan to have a design on this page for each character if I can manage. I'll even do one of them and post it on the site one day. I'll guide you step by step so you don't ruin that pumpkin!

WARNING: These designs can be difficult and the can be meticulous work. If yours falls apart, please don't sue me! Look at the stencil I've made before you start. It shouldn't fall off the pumpkin but I'm no professional stencil maker.

PLEASE DO NOT STEAL MY WORK. YOU MAY USE IT TO MAKE YOUR PUMPKIN AS INTENDED BUT DO NOT TAKE IT AND PLACE IT ON YOUR OWN SITE OR DO ANYTHING ELSE WITH IT! I WORKED HARD ON THESE!

This one is of Syaoran if you haven't guessed it yet. Above is the stencil you need. It took me awhile to figure it out but it should work if you do it right. I will attempt it myself sometime and post my results.

IMPORTANT TIPS FOR SUCCESS:
1)If you've done pumpkin carving before, than you should have all the little saws and hole poker. You can find them from a company that makes books with designs and saws called Pumpkin Masters. Clean out the pumpkin first.
2)Pin the four corners of the provided stencil onto the pumpkin surface.
3)Procede to follow the lines and poke holes on them.
4)Take off the stencil and you should have a dotted copy of the stencil on the pumpkin.
5)Take one of the small saws and start with the small details in the FACE. My suggestion is start with the eyes, mouth, nose, and eye brows.
6)Then carve out the lines for the hair.
7)Carve a dome around the picture and make a straight surface at the bottom to where it meets the ends of the neck.
8)Carve out the dome you've made by going around hair outline.
9)I know some of my instructions don't make sense so look at the picture below to show you what it would look like. Yellow represents the light shining through the holes. The orange is the pumpkin.

Look forward to: Sakura, Tomoyo, and Kero-chan.

I'm still designing the stencils and pictures to guide you so please check back soon. Hopefully I'll have everything up this weekend. (written 10/11/02)
