Character's name- Toyowa Emi
Meaning- Plentiful Peace, Blessed With BeautyThe Surname Toyowa is made of two kanji characters in the Japanse: Toyo means Plentiful, and Wa means Peace. Emi means Blessed with Beauty.
Element- Time
Age- Fifteen
Birthday- November 1
Zodiac Sign- Scorpio
Appearance- At first glance, Emi does not look much like her mother. She is short, almost ridiculously so, and yet she manages to look simply delicate rather than dwarfed. She holds herself as if she was tall, as tall as her mother, and while this does provide the illusion of height, when she stands near Setsuna the different is still striking.
Her skin is pale, like cream, and smooth to the touch. Her face bears none of the blemishes usual for a girl her age. Her hands, however, sport blisters from her training with her Chronos Staff.
Her hair, like her father's, is the strangely light color of a peeled banana. Its smooth, silky curls frame her face beautifully, puddling on her shoulders. Her bangs curl to just above elegant brows that are the color of her hair. Below these beautifully arched, yet slightly knitted brows are her gorgeous eyes, with a frame of pale, pale lashes.
Her eyes: the one characteristic that ties her to her mother, they pull the onlooker in with their steady, serious gaze. Like Setsuna's, they are a deep crimson, the color of blood. They reflect the light in an odd way, rubies floating in her creamy face. Such beautiful eyes are not often seen. They most often have a serious look to them, or a deep, thoughtful one. Sometimes, however, a flash of emotion shows: of pain, or joy, or love. In pain, they grow dark, dark, dark…frighteningly so. In joy, they gleam, more like stars than rubies. And in love, they become like prisms, reflecting all colors of the rainbow behind the red.
Her mouth, too, is usually unexpressive, set in a firm line. However, when her emotions are deep, it changes with her eyes, frowning harshly or spreading into a smile. Her smiles are things of loveliness, spreading slowly and filling the heart with joy. And when she laughs, her laugh is sweet and melodious, making others' hearts leap.
She loves to wear loose, comfortable pants made of soft material.
She likes knit tops because they are warm and cozy. Comfort comes first, style second. However, when it does come to style, she loves to wear clothes in her favorite colors, with clean lines. She prefers them to be rather form-fitting, because this looks good on her and frees her from having to deal with anything hanging.
Likes-
Music: Music is her passion. The emotion behind each note reaches into her soul. It is one of the few things that can bring a smile to her face -- or sadness to her eyes, depending on the mood to the song.
Books: She is easily lost in a good book. When the author uses beautiful descriptions, or describes a deep emotion, it can literally take her breath away. She especially loves ancient classics and old poetry, such as that of Shakespeare or Chaucer, and often quotes them. Her mother: Setsuna is her hero, her ultimate role model. Emi looks up to her as a beautiful, powerful woman, deep and serious like her. One of her greatest dreams is to be just like her mother.
Peanut butter: Peanut butter is Emi's comfort food. Sometimes, she may sit down with a book and a jar of peanut butter, and finish off the jar by the time she gets up again.
Red and silver: These are her favorite colors. One must wonder: does she love them because they are on her senshi fuku or are they on her senshi fuku because she loves them? Or maybe both? Other than the fact that they are on her fuku, she loves red because it is the color of the eyes that she and her mother share, and silver because it is a beautiful, yet unimposing color.
Dislikes-
Loud noises: Things that disturb her steady, serious peace annoy her. This includes people who talk too loudly.Emotional people: When people wear their emotions on their sleeves, she tends to look upon them with contempt. While their joys and complaints are so enthusiastic so often, one gets tired of them soon and they have less meaning. In contrast, with her serious nature, a show of emotion is much more meaningful.
Spicy foods: Not that she likes foods to be purely monotonous, but spicy foods are too out of the ordinary. Food is not meant, in her opinion, to disrupt: anything that causes her to yelp and her eyes to water is not a good thing.
Childish jokes: She despises being left in the dark while others laugh raucously at the top of their lungs over some childish, meaningless joke.
Hobbies-
Singing: Her passion for music shows in her singing. Her sweet, lilting voice drips with emotions that she show rarely shows. Her soul pours forth when she sings – it is a way to express herself without embarrassment.
Writing poetry: She has yet to cultivate a talent in writing prose, but poetry she loves to create. Like singing, it is a way to express her true feelings, and can be combined with singing when she writes songs. She writes poems about deep emotions, death, time, and her mother.
Personality-
In her own words:
"Some might call me dark, introverted, and overly serious. Well, why not? I have no use for dramatic emotions, which can quickly become dull and overused. I have no wish to have friends who try to draw my emotions from me. Why should I let everyone know what I feel, when they really only want to talk about themselves? Why should I take up their valuable time with my petty feelings?"
This sums up her personality well. She is serious and emotionless most of the time, having no need to flaunt her feelings in public. In her opinion, only weak people express strong emotion every moment. She prefers to hide behind an invisible wall, speaking and revealing little.
She is a loner, and she doesn't mind. Friends are hindrances. Sometimes other girls try to include her, but she pushes them away. If she gets too close to others, her wall might shatter. She often seems cold, but she truly tries to be kind. She is in fact very polite as she pushes those who want to be her friends away, and she does not realize how it hurts them. Another reason she does not want friends is because of her father's death. Now, she thinks that getting close to someone will only lead to more pain, the weakest emotion of all.
She is quiet, and likes others to be quiet as well. Other than music, she views most sounds with contempt. Silence itself is more beautiful than most of the world's sounds.
Finally, she is peaceful. She wants to be like her mother, a powerful senshi, and yet she would rather not fight. Fighting is useless, and the only reason she would participate in such a vulgar activity would be in self-defense or to protect others.
