Location: Roanoke Senshi: Zamael, Angelus/ Angel of Pleasure (okay, just see the explanation section for clarification before the jokes fly) Name: Eden Snoddy Meaning: Her first name is simple enough. Eden is a biblical name meaning "place of pleasure". This name is obviously referring to the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible. As the story goes, Adam and Eve were driven out of Eden after Eve ate the Forbidden Apple against God's will, and then tempted Adam to eat it as well (if any of this is not so, sorry! I am not very religious myself, and have only heard the story a few times before.). Snoddy is a Scottish/ Northern Ireland surname meaning neat, trim and smart. The meaning Eden came from here: http://www.behindthename.com/ I forgot the name of the site I got Snoddy from. Age: 15 Birthdate: February 17 Astrological Sign: Aquarius. This does have some bearing on her personality. For one, Eden really is looking to be liked by all, especially the opposite sex. She has a strong sense of right and wrong, though very reluctant to choose sides on matters. Also, Eden is very polite and friendly to people she does not know very well, even if they are not as friendly to her. Blood Type: B Family: Matt Snoddy: Eden's dad and only real parent. Matt has raised Eden on his own her whole life, and struggles to balance her with his demanding job at a major car distribution plant. Matt is still pretty young (32) and had not expected to ever have children. He is a bit of a bachelor, as he constantly dates and brings home strange women that Eden usually bumps into early in the morning as she leaves for school. None of them Eden ever really liked. Matt looks very much like Eden, only a juiced up, buff Eden. Matt is very easy on the eyes, ladies. His hair is the same copper color as Eden's, but looks different on her chiseled dad for some reason. Their eyes are exactly the same, and are the connection people see when meeting one or the other for the first time. The only difference between them is their body figures. Matt is short for a man, and Eden is tall for a girl. Matt has a friendly, upbeat disposition, and makes it easy to tell he is very successful. He is a bit of a flirt though, and suffers from many one-night-stands. When it comes to Eden though, he is able to fit into the maternally role that Eden never had, and it is because of her dad that Eden does not want a mother. Julia "Star" Mally: Julia met Matt while on the job. How? Julia is a stripper. Julia met Matt at his birthday party after she took care of business and did a show for him and his friends. Julia was drawn to Matt, and forgot about her job altogether and ended up sleeping with him. Eden, as you can see, was the result. Julia was willing to go through this with Matt, and the two got married abruptly. However, Julia realized she was not in love and left Matt after a week. She has not come back to see her daughter, and probably never will. Eden was a mistake after all. Julia's name is Star by night, and works at a small club. With a desire to be successful and to do what she pleases, Julia continues to strip to this day. The woman is an ambitious one, and likes being single and on her own. Star is tall and a bit lanky, like her daughter. Her hair is currently platinum blond. Her original hair color has long been lost. Her eyes are a deep, navy blue due to contacts. School/Occupation: Currently a sophomore at Cave Spring High school. Skills: Athleticism- Eden is very athletic, and can hold her own in physical combat despite not knowing any means of combat. She is not to be taken lightly out of battle as she is very much in top physical shape. Writing- Eden is an avid reader and writer. She mainly writes fictional stories about romance. Eden loves being creative and expressive. She is more at home writing than anywhere else. It is where Eden can truly write about her problems and issues in life. Playing basketball- Eden is on the junior varsity basketball team at school, and has a starting position. She even dresses for varsity games sometimes. Eden is very good at the game, and has been playing it for ages now. Sensing happiness- Call it a senshi power, but Eden can sense when people are happy. She can tell their general mood right away and uses that to cheer people up a bit. It is not an extremely useful skill, but it is there nonetheless. Likes: Romance Novels- Ever wonder who actually buys those two-dollar cheesy romance novels at your local grocery store? Now you know! Eden loves to read in general, but secretly has a stash of novels about love and such. It is a bit embarrassing, but Eden is an addict and will never change. The only person who knows she reads these is April. The Opposite Sex- Who doesn't? Eden is constantly thinking about how fun it would be to have a boyfriend. She has never had one before, and feels like an outsider because she has yet to be asked to any school dance, let alone a date. Basketball- Eden is an excellent basketball player. It is her only way to receive recognition in her school. She is a devoted fan and loves working out in the summer to prepare for next season. It keeps her busy, too, when Matt is not around. April's clothes- Eden wishes she could dress like her eccentric friend. Unfortunately April's clothing is a topic of debate at their school, and Eden would hate for people to make fun of her over it. Techno Dance Music- Eden is a bad dancer. She likes dance music. Go figure. There are various other small likes, such as her obsession with cell phones (she has two, good God). Dislikes: School- Eden calls it a Hell so evil it uprooted and now sits on Earth instead of underground. Would you want to go to a place where everyone makes fun of you, and where you are not accepted? I didn't think so. It is bad enough Eden is somewhat of a loner anyway. She doesn't need to be a loner and a reject. Stereotypes- Social groups in high school are brutal, but if you fit into one at least there is someone to accept you. Eden doesn't fit into one and hates it. She wishes everyone just got along so she could be accepted. Rap Music- Eden kills people who listen to it. She hates hearing it mainly because it is virtually everywhere; on TV, in commercials, in the low rider car about a block away with Eminem blasting from it. Eden hates the hip-hop generation her class peers all endorse. Large Crowds- Eden hates crowds because she is easily forgotten in them. She would much rather be in a small group where she has more of an opportunity to be noticed and included. Fav. Food: Fajitas. Grilled onions, peppers, and lots of grilled shrimp. Yum. Eden is fond of Mexican food in general, but likes to eat out more, rather than let her dad cook. Hated Food: Collard greens, especially green beans and peas. Fav. Subject: Short-story Writing. Eden loves Literature and English in general, but was always more partial to fictional, creative writing. Hated Subject: Cooking. Once upon a time, cooking class sounded interesting. Eden joined, and after the first two weeks burnt three different assignments. Consequently, Eden dropped the class the same way her pie dropped from the table. Color: Steel gray and sugar pink Hobbies: Writing- Eden loves to write stories of all kinds. Mainly a fictional writer, Eden comes up with ideas faster than she can get them on her computer. Most of the ideas focused around romance, especially unrequited love. Eden's talent for writing shows even in school, as she is on the school's Creative Writing team. Basketball- Matt hooked her into the world of basketball at a young age. Eden was tall a gawky enough to play a post position and found it very easy to do. Eden grew stronger with time and soon she was in the starting line-up on her junior varsity team, dressing for varsity games in case someone got injured. Eden lets off most of her anger out on the court after a long, trying day of school. Aspirations: Eden has this overwhelming desire to find the perfect man, and to have a family of her own. It may seem cheesy, but Eden has always wondered when that `certain someone' will come along. She is a bit undecided about her goals in life other than that. Eden does want to pursue writing as her passion, and would love more than anything to move out of the country. She's just a very eccentric person like that. Gemstone: Ruby, the stone that best represents Zamael. History Once upon a time, there were two people who fell madly in love. Sort of. It started off as a case of "duty calls". Eden's mother was simply doing her job when she arrived at the door of Matt Snoddy dressed as a very un-Catholic schoolgirl. Matt, as well as his drunken friends, whooped and hollered as "Star" danced her way out of her clothes for the better part of the night. The party grew louder. Star began to have fun, and did the one thing a stripper was not supposed to do: drink. She was already attracted to Matt, and after a few beers, they ended up going upstairs. Ahem. Matt did not use protection, and was shocked when "Star", aka Julia Mally showed up at his doorstep a week later to tell him the news. Matt had grown to love Julia, and the two were determined to stay together and raise baby Eden together. It worked out…for a couple of days. Yet Matt was busy with his job, and Julia was not willing to settle down. About one week after marriage, the happy couple split up, and Matt was left with Eden and a broken heart. Eden was raised well enough. Matt's job as a spokesperson for a major car business was enough to get money for food and such. The two were very close. Matt did not date while Eden went through her early school years, and Julia never once asked to see the daughter she left behind. It was during these first years of school that Eden learned to hate attending. The boys would call her `Snotty', and the girls would not invite her to their house because she would always carry around outdoor critters…like worms. Eden was already branded with the `outcast' stamp. It was not until Eden was nine that Matt signed her up for basketball. Eden was an active girl, and Matt was more than willing to get her involved in his favorite pastime. Eden grew a love for the game instantly, and as she was taller than any girl in her grade and was pretty good at the sport too. Eden grew more boyish by the day. Living with your dad can do that to you. Matt's job began to suck the life out of him when Eden was thirteen. With a major promotion came working endless late hours that left Eden to order takeout on school nights. Eden understood and was able to survive after long days of torture at school. She cleaned their small house and learned that she could sneak out at night when Matt was not home. She grew rebellious and was her own best friend. Eden was not little miss popular. In fact, she was teased most of the time. It left Eden to discover things the hard way: the changes a woman goes through in life, how babies are made, and the drugs are a no-no. Eden had a run-in with smoking, but never became an addict. It was this kind of thing that Eden felt she could not discuss with her father. Eden's self-esteem dropped. Now Eden is in high school. Her life has not improved, and as a result she has become a very shy person. She found refuge in books (particularly romance novels) and watches soap operas when she can. She is lonely, and the only person who can set her straight is not around when she needs him the most. Eden does have one close friend though. Her name is April Conner, and is the same age as Eden. NPC: April is very much Eden's support. She is loud when Eden is not. She is flirtatious when Eden runs away from the dating scene. If it was not for April, Eden would have never had any social life. They rely on each other for support, as April has a reputation of being a rebel, and Eden is able to tame her. The two met in their freshman year. April was the one who had handed Eden a cigarette and a lighter. The two share a passion for writing, believe it or not, and they take the same English courses. April is short and stocky. Her hair is a soft, caramel brown that is cut very short and held in a spiky style with gel. April has narrow, mischievous eyes that are a dull blue to a bright gray. April is a smoker, and as such carries a smoky scent with her. April dresses more eccentric than most of her classmates, wearing shocking pink leather skirts and fishnets with tears in them. Do not be fooled though; she is not as tough as she looks. Personality Eden would best describe herself as normal. Her personality blends in with her surroundings and no one can tell if she even has a personality at times. Yet there is a lot more to Eden than what meets the eye. Eden is friendly to everyone and everything. She does not lose her patience with mean or angry people. She just smiles and nods. Eden is at everyone's command, despite the kind of people they are. It isn't that Eden loves everyone because she is a happy-go- lucky person. She just wants to fit in with as little arguments as possible. She thinks that if someone is angry at her, they have every right to be and she should apologize. Those who know Eden a bit better than strangers do think she is just a really nice person. Her shyness is comforting to some, and others think it is just a way of being stuck-up. Really, it is because Eden has a really crappy self- esteem. Eden has this suspicion that everyone hates her, and that she will never be like other girls because she is ugly and (insert teenage problem here). Eden holds back around peers because she does not think they would be accepting of her. So instead, she hides behind this overly polite mask, and does not speak unless spoken to. She does not realize that by hiding the person she really is makes her vulnerable to people and often classmates will use her for extra lunch money or some such thing. Eden thinks she is always making an effort to be more outgoing, but really she is still the same every day. Eden never gets angry or impatient in school, and seems to be quite the level-headed girl. It takes a very emotional event to occur for Eden to cry or lose it in school or in front of others. Eden really unleashes her anger and depression at home or with April. Both Matt and April would tell you that an angry Eden is not a good thing. The girl goes crazy. Eden is prone to random breakdowns simply because she holds all of her anger and sadness inside until it literally bursts out of her. It takes a lot to calm down, too. Morals are very important to Eden. She is very definite on doing the right thing. She is the peace-maker and the confidant for anyone that needs her. However, because she has such strong opinions, she is not very open to others and will shut you down in a heart beat if what you said does not match what Eden thinks. She feels like she is right all the time. If she isn't, it's because she's in a very good mood. It should be mentioned that Eden is always looking for love among guys. She does not flirt, but will attempt to find that special someone and obsess over him. April has pointed out that her mother is a stripper and thus is an example of how to attract male attention, but Eden believes that love will look for her, and if someone is interested they will automatically come running to her doorstep. If only love worked that way. In the event a talking animal tells her that she is the senshi of pleasure, she will probably take it as though she knew it all along. Weird and even morbid things do not affect Eden the way it would another girl her age. Eden can watch slasher flicks, eat bugs if need be, and would run around naked if someone needed her to. She is not a good judge of what is safe or normal. The only gripe she will have about being a senshi is 1) The skimpy show-girl outfit. 2) Just being the senshi of…::cough::…pleasure. Not that Eden is ever scared. She freaks out about just being in big crowds. Fighting an enemy that is trying to kill her? Yeah, she's scared. Eden does not mind fighting, but when your life is on the line she feels it is better to beg for mercy. Eden is not an idiot, and is pretty good at finding solutions to problems. She just has a problem with speaking up about them. It will take someone with a good sense of team unity to break Eden out of her shell in battle and to speak up when needed. Appearance Hair: The color of Eden's hair is best described as copper. Not exactly red, but not the brightest orange. Many people have tried to find logic behind the odd shade of "orange" Eden and her dad possesses. Hair stylists have all commented on the unique shade her hair is, and many argue that it must be from a very bad dye job. It just seems that rusty-looking. The texture is very thick but straight as a board. It can get a little wavy and messy if not blow-dried after a shower, and takes a while to dry. Eden finds it easy to style though, and likes to play around with wearing it different ways, as it falls to her mid-back in one length. Eyes: Eden's best feature is her eyes. They are a very stunning green. The shade of green to best compare them to would be a pine green, with a hint of blue in them. They are very big and round. When Eden was younger, family friends would comment on how pretty her eyes are, and how much resemblance they have to her dad. Eden has very full eyelashes that make her eyes seem doll-like. Her eyebrows, however, require a lot of plucking, as they are very dark and can get almost too long. For some reason, people think Eden looks pissed off most of the time. Her mouth shut tight, along with her normally frosty gaze (she has a staring habit), she gives off an impression of anger. Nose: Eden has a small, mousy nose. Naturally flushed, she lights up like Rudolph when she is upset or embarrassed. Mouth: Though rarely is her smile anymore than a polite grin, her mouth is pretty wide. Her lips are very thin, though, and appear to be a straight line most of the time. Skin-tone: Alas, no tan hereL. Eden is very pale, and her skin very fleshy. She gets red with emotion, and tends to sweat more than the average person. Combined with scars on her legs from various things (she picks at scabs. Ewwer), her skin tone is not the most pleasant. Height: 5'8". Eden had her growth spurt very early in life, and thus suffered from being the "tall one" in school. She is still pretty tall for a girl, but at least now there are boys taller than she is, and she doesn't feel so excluded from other girls. Eden has very long limbs, and yet she has no flexibility. For example, she cannot even do a somersaultJ! Sad, sad, sad… Build/ Carriage: She weighs 145 lbs, yet she does not come close to looking her weight. She is pretty balanced out. Her arms are a bit scrawny, and she is much more built in her legs. A B-cup in relation to her chest, the senshi of pleasure is just the right size in that area. Eden is very curvy and has trouble finding a decent pair of pants that fit. Eden is a pretty athletic girl, but yet she tends to carry herself as though she were half-asleep. She tends to walk slowly down school halls, and seems to be slouching. Hands: Eden has the hands of an artist. Her fingers are long and outstretched. They work fast, and are good at keyboarding. Her fingernails are bitten down. She's not the kind of girl to paint them, either, so she doesn't give a damn! Distinguishing features: Eden is double-jointed in her thumbs, and can do several gross tricks with them that are popular at parties! Eden has pierced naval, pierced ears and a small tattoo of a red heart on her ankle. As it doesn't go anywhere else, Eden has a lisp. Her `s' sounds more like `th'. It is not a big thing, though Eden thinks it is. People really notice it when she is talking fast. Otherwise, Eden's voice is very quiet and low. Facial Structure/ _Expression: Eden has a long face, with high cheekbones and without the typical teenage acne problem. However, her facial _expression is very grim and dark, even though half the time Eden is in a good mood. She gives off a pessimistic vibe. Overall: Eden does not take any extra efforts to make her average looks stand out, and that is part of the problem with her self- esteem. She does not wear makeup, and likes black clothing. No skirts or clothes that may hug her figure. She just blends in with the crowd. Fuku No doubt about it, Zamael is the senshi of pleasure. Of course she would look like a showgirl from Los Angeles! It should be noted that Zamael appears to have on heavy eye makeup and a deep red lipstick after transforming, as well as her hair falls to her back in a bit of a wave. Body suit: The body suit is a corset-like leotard that is held together by white lace in the front that starts under her cleavage and ends in a v-shape at her belly button. The two very thin spaghetti straps are gray. The leotard is gray with pink pinstripes. Top: A black mesh coat covers Zamael's arms and falls to her knees. It hangs open, and has nothing to tie it together with. At the bottom hem of the coat there is a layer of pink feathers. Front bow: The front bow sits at the top of the leotard. It is a fairly thin black silk ribbon, and the tails fall about a foot downward. Back bow: The back bow is a bit bigger and sits on the back of the skirt. It is also black, but very puffy like the skirt, though the back bow is not as long as the front. Choker: The choker is a silky pink, lined with white lace. A red ruby in the shape of a heart sits in the middle of the choker. Gloves: The gloves are a pink silk that tightly hugs her arms, starting at the elbows. Simple enough. Skirt: The skirt is much frillier and a bit shorter than other senshi. It is gray, with white lace trimming the hem. The under skirt is very puffy, and looks entirely composed of white lace that bounces out at you. I guess the closest thing to it would be a French maid's skirt. Shoes: The boots are pink and leather. They reach just below the knees, and are high-heeled. Each boot is tied up by red ribbon that snakes down to her ankles. Tiara: The traditional tiara sits on her forehead. The jewel on its tip is a small ruby, and the actual band is silver, not gold. Transformation "Zamael Angel POWER!" The transformation is probably the most R-rated transformation evah! After shouting the transformational phrase, Eden is engulfed in pink feathers that shoot up from the ground. The feathers disperse, and a pink glow silhouettes Eden's now naked figure. Eden can be seen bending over, stroking a hand up one leg and down the other, with a bit of a giggle. As the boots form, Eden spins around once, and a skirt is seen fluttering as she finishes her spin. Eden wraps her arms around her body and lets them trail seductively down to her hips, forming the upper parts of the fuku with a small moan. Eden twirls around with several shrill giggles and the mesh coat flounces outward. Eden stops spinning and touches her forehead. The pink light gathers at her fingers and forms the tiara. Zamael finishes, her hands resting in her knees and her head cocked playfully to the right side. Powers Zamael does not specialize in inflicting damage. She serves mainly as a means to distract the enemy for others. Fantasy- Strength: None. It is an illusion to allow for other attacks. Zamael does not lose any energy over doing it, but the attack will fail if she loses concentration. Duration of attack: This is Zamael's primary attack, but it is simply to cause a diversion. The duration of the attack depends mainly on the enemy's vulnerability to it, but after about two good hits from Zamael or her allies the enemy should wake up out of their trance. The show: Zamael glows a dull pink, and attracts the enemy's gaze to meet her own. Zamael's eyes appear to be glazed over as the pink glow suddenly disperses, re-appearing as a small pink fog directly in front of the enemy's eyes. The fog remains there until the effects of the attack fade away. The effects: The enemy is engulfed with a feeling similar to that of being exposed to laughing gas at the hospital or dental office. Their senses and body grow numb and light, and the victim is unaware of their surroundings. They may stumble, or smile drunkenly. It is very much like a drug overdose. The attack tricks the victim into thinking that Zamael is their soul mate, or a person that they romantically desire. They see Zamael returning the affection too, as she is now able to get up close and personal with the target. Zamael has several options open to her. One, she could do physical damage to the enemy, though the attack would wear off much quicker. She may also distract her enemy while her ally follows up with a stronger attack. If the victim does not have anyone that they are romantically attracted to, the target will then simply be a bit stunned, but will also see other attacks coming and may have time to react. Weakness: The attack requires the attention of the target. No eye contact, no attack. Also, those whose power sphere involve the mind or mental concentration stand a much better chance of shaking off the attack before its effects settle in. Pleasure Pain: Strength: As Zamael is not a senshi meant to cause pain, the attack is a moderately weak one. Zamael does suffer some energy loss, but not enough that she can't perform it four or five times in a row without rest. Duration: It is a quick attack, but the pain inflicted is delayed. The show: Zamael places her hands to her lips and smiles seductively. She closes her eyes and kisses her hand after muttering "pleasure". Her hand glows a bright and glittery pink, and as Zamael pulls her hand away, she yells, "PAIN!" The energy gathered around her hand launches out as a beam of pink light, hitting the enemy. The entire attack looks a bit like someone blowing a kiss. The effect: The attack has a delayed reaction of sorts. The enemy first feels immediate pleasure (think sexual, but without the sex), but it is suddenly replaced with pain, inflicting damage on the area the attack hit. The enemy is usually shocked after the attack, as it is one that deceives. Weakness: The attack targets only one enemy, so it is best to just dodge it. Zamael will learn how to channel her attack to make it hit multiple targets, but for now it is your standard beam of energy. The attack can be deflected or negated with another attack or some sort of shield. Guardian- None. Eden has yet to "see the light" as a senshi. Explanation Q: What is the myth behind your god/goddess/angel/etc.? Why did you pick it? A: I found the angel Zamael on the site that was linked to yours in the Available Angelus Senshi page. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do an angel or not, so I just was reading through. When I saw it, I nearly choked with laughter. A senshi of sexual pleasure! All right! Obviously, I would have to tone down her power sphere to pleasure for the sake of virgin eyes, but she would still come off as a senshi of, quite honestly, sex. It was hard to deal with her powers and such, but I think I like how she came out. State what you know concerning your mineral/gemstone. No spiritual analysis required. Rubies are associated with love, passion and romance. Rubies are a rare stone, and stand for passionate feelings. Although rubies are the birthstone for July, the stone was perfect for a senshi of pleasure like Zamael. She was automatically pulling out lip gloss from her small purse when the door opened, letting in a burst of rain and wind. Caleb strode in, his shaggy black hair clinging to his tan face. Eden let her index finger hover of the `delete' button indecisively. `Tan face'? The line sounded too cheesy. Eden furrowed her eyebrows, but decided that since Caleb is supposed to be damn gorgeous, the line should remain. "Hey Summer!" Caleb waved, grinning as he stood in line. "Sorry I'm late…why is you face orange?" Summer clasped her hands over her cheeks. It must have been the Insta-tan! She knew a tan from a small spray can was too good to be true." "Hiya! Ready to go to that party at Katie's tonight? She said I could bring friends!" April leaned over to stare at the computer screen. Her leather skirt creaked with every movement. Eden minimized the screen, blushing a bit. She hated it when other people read over her shoulder. "I guess." Eden looked desperately at the clock, but it was not even close to the time her dad would be getting home. She had no excuse to get out of this one. "Good, because Andy's gonna pick us up here-" "ANDY!?" The high-pitched squeal startled Eden herself. Andy. She couldn't go now. He already thought she was a total geek. He had accidentally found Eden's biology notebook and read one of the pages of her newest romance novel entitled, "Teenage Drama: a Comedy". Needless to say, Eden had a bit of a crush on him. He was the model for Caleb in the story- "Are you going in that?" April plucked a copper hair from the back of Eden's hooded sweatshirt. Eden grimaced. She hated makeup, and did not feel the need to change out of sneakers, jeans and her sweatshirt that bore the name of her school. No sense in arguing with April though. "I guess I'll change." Eden pressed `Save' and shut down her computer. "Do I have to wear makeup?" April rolled her eyes. "Whatever Eden. No wonder no one notices you! You never do anything that is worth noticing!" April sighed. To say something like that to Eden, who had the self-esteem of a rock (aka none), but it was getting harder by the day to deal with the girl. Eden lowered her eyes a bit. She hated it when April was mad at her. "Ok ok, I'll wear some." "Yay! Ok, since you only have lip gloss I brought over some mascara and eye shadow and a little blush." April pulled several small cases of makeup from her purse. Eden plopped down onto her bed. She sat still while April began to mask Eden's eyes in a smoky black paste. "Penny for your thoughts? You never sit still when I'm putting makeup on you." "Well…I just think that it's not a good idea for me to go to this party because you invited me. I don't even know Katie very well." Eden's ears perked up at the sound of a horn from outside. She almost squealed in surprise and nervousness. April began putting the tiny tubes of makeup back into her purse. "Shit, he's early. Well, we'll finish this in the car. Grab a coat; it's a bit nippy out." Eden hesitantly picked up her denim jacket. "I can't believe this! Andy doesn't even LIKE me and I'm getting a ride from him!" Eden threw the coat on. "I dunno…" It was like dragging a little kid into the dentist office. "For the love of God, get your ass in gear woman!"
