Glossary:

Die Cast: Model made, for the major part, of metal.

Garage Kit: Figure made in resin, they need painting and assembly. Parts are molded independantly and are solid. According to HobbyForever, they are more difficult to assemble than ordinary model kit. I prefer to say it's a different method to follow.

Model Kit: Any scale kit, but in modelism jargon it refers to all kits (ex: plastic kits: aircraft, car, train or mecha) excepts Garage Kit (Resin Kit).

Resin Kit: Other widely used name for Garage Kit.

Resin Model: Resin Figure painted & assembled.

Questions?

You have some problems with modelism? I'll be happy to help you. Just like you, I learn more each about figure kits and I am not a professionnal, but I was a proficient modelrailroader during 15 years. Modelism is always modelism! I can say that patience is important: with it, you can transform a crappy model into some masterpiece. Contact me at [email protected].
