Comments: When Emilie Sauriol offered us a lot of old kits to sell, I took my chance and was happy to discover she had a KOR kits.  I always wanted a GK of Ayukawa, even if I had to convert an existing kit. This one is just perfect for me!!! She got a killer body on this figure!!!! A very sexy and glamour pose, just like Madoka should be!

This one is pretty small, but I already worked on a smaller 1/12 and it was fun stuff to work with it.  However, I was impressed by the age of this kit.  Just seeing it, you can tell it's from the first time GK was popular. The resin is a strange textured pinkish plastic. The head was full of pin hole, but except that, the figure was nicer than I thought. The only thing I can deplore is the fact I wasn't unable to find the paint scheme anywhere. An other low point, old GK have strange and irrational break parts. By exemple, they cut part in the middle of an arm. It's what happen with Madoka and the pieces weren't of the same size. It was just annoyaing to patch, sand and repaint, with the risk to destroy the paint job on her dress. My first idea was to paint her skirt in glossy black leather, her shirt in blue and her jacket in red. However, I discovered it wasn't a skirt but a dress. So I decided to watch few OAV to remember her clothing. In the episode ending at the bar, I discovered she was wearing a dress very similar to this one. It was a dark red velvet dress with a pink jacket. It's incredible, it is almost the same color scheme gluefinger used for his sexy Agent Najica!!! ^^

I bought this original garage kit from AnimeFigureKits.com for only 26.00 $ US. A very good shop to get old stuff at good price, with the excellent Emilie's service.

Comments from peers on E2046 Forum: keiichi: Looking at the finished product, I would say you've done it justice. Despite the material and the casting, she has turned out quite well, attesting to the high level of skill and effort put into her. Good job, a path on the back for you.
vellj001: Another very good job Sailor. Considering she is all hand painted you did a fine job. The flesh tones in paricular are good this time.

Though her hair was black till I saw the last photo.
Aglaranna She's got a nice body
The colors look really good on her, i love the dress very much.
Well done !
Neo_omega I still have couple of Modoka kits in the box somewhere.
steev Nice job! The shading on the dress really stands out. I have some old kits I think are of the same character. It seems that one may have been labeled "Goeunbi" but they were made by Elfin and they always had odd names on their boxes. Is "Kimagure Orange Road" the name of the series? I'm trying to come up with the origins of some of my older kits.
Steven
Matrix Nice work again.
I like those expressive eyes, it's so real
she has character.
You did a great job on this one.
tfcreate Great work. It takes a steady hand to paint a 1/12 AND BY HAND! EXCELLENT!

TFC
zeduckmaster hehe, sabrina from max & compagnie (lots of rememberings )
that's quite unsual to see figures from old good in-some-way-forgotten series, and only for that : )

i follow tfcreate i'm amazed by the smoothness you did on it (1/12 : around 10 cm ?) and the details you put in the eyes (which is only really shown on the last picture).
smoon Nice job Matt, she really looks an old kit, lately kits follows fashion, I like so much the colors and her eyes, she looks very sexy
ddstar I think this is a nice and simple model. Not that I am saying that you had a simple time with it. The colours all go well together and you did an awesome job with your painting. Keep it up.

baxojayz Hi Matt,

Nice job. I like it. The smaller scales are fun to work with.

Did you use blue or gray to highlight the hair?

~Bob
baxojayz Yeah, I remember you mentioning in another thread that you quite enjoy the small scales, especially with the ships.

So how's this, years ago when I got started my friend played "Traveler." The game pieces were 10 mm! He gave them to me and I painted up a bunch. Drybrushing and highlights and all! I have NO IDEA where any of them ended up. But those were fun.

~Bob
tilburina great job!
i love the shading on her dress, it looks like real silk and her eyes look very expresive!
you are right about the flesh, it is very pale but that could be just the pictures and the black background.
she's an interesting model, you can tell just by looking at her that she is an old sculpt. it's all those rounded curves in her body. she's very well proportioned... a great find for a model.
u2beal999 I like her very much! It would be neat if you could make a base with her saxophone incorporated somehow. I've been watching yahoo!jp for kits of Madoka....still haven't gotten my hands on one.
Another series from the 80's that I wish there were models of would be maison ikkoku, would be fun to paint up Kyoko.

I've never seen the movie before, just the OAV and TV series. is it good?
Alex Cute.

I like the more natural proportions and how you rendered them.

A cute gal doesn't always have to be ultra-leggy.
