Comments: My first GK conversion ever... I really wanted a nerdy Narusegawa and never found it, so I've created mine!

This is a cute Narusegawa kit, however I'm scratchbuilding it into a Nerd version with braids. The pose is cool and with different putties, epoxies, sandpapers and a lot of time, it bloomed into a beautiful flower.  To achieve this conversion, I had to use my mind at his maximum. I tried different products before I get the result I wanted. For the base, I decided to create a diorama presenting Todai's Aka-mon Gate at 1/8 scale but it was too huge and difficult to understand how to built it in a traditionnal way. I decided to reproduce an other concrete Todai's Gate. I built only the half and used Styrofoam as main material, covered it with joint compound and painted it according to fresco technique with water-thinned paint to reactivate the plaster. The effect was excellent.

Thanks to many persons on E2046.com's forum for their precious tips and encouragement, particularly Burnout who followed the process with interest & Vellj001 for his friendly comments.

It was purchased from Hobbyfan.com because it was the only place I found it. 35.00 $ USD + Shipping.

The resin was excellent, but the skirt casting was too thin. However, it's a cute kit.

Comments from peers on E2046 forum: vellj001  Lots of hard work Sailor but very good one which paid off. Your diorama at the contest is one which is on my top list of favorites but I do not like to comment much on contest figures while the contest is on due to past experience.

Still you did a fine conversion, painting and diorama building job.

My compliments.
Matrix Very ambitious project and it is great to see the result.
Lots of hard work has created a very well build up original figure.
Like evrything on it
smoon thanks for the tutorial, in fact your figure was an inspiration to me I'm making some transformation on Seiya kits Thanks Sailor Matlac
