The events of that night still run through my mind
Looking for excuses or any reasons I can find
I showed him who I was and he did the same
I love him even though I do not know his name
Then memories flashed through my head
Of a life long ago which now is dead
In a castle we had lived
On a hill high above
Both of us were deeply in love
There was nothing I could do when death took him away
For I still clearly remember that day
When the sword went through his heart
Cruel fate decided to tear us apart
When he fell to the ground
Time seemed to stand still
This could not have been the destiny
He was meant to fulfill
Tears sprang from my eyes
When I knelt by his side
My heart went with him the day he died
I still do not know what it means
All I have left is now in my dreams
