New York: After I Fell in Love With You


As I walked down the street today
I noticed something new
New York seemed a brighter place
After I fell in love with you

And even the train at rush hour
Didn't seem so bad
Because to me you gave your heart and soul
And a love I've never had

And even though I lost my job
And got mugged in Central Park
Your love helped me survive this day
You wouldn't leave me in the dark

And when  I got to my apartment
And found the place ransacked
I say now:  To hell with love
And give me my Prozac
