“Well, we better get going if we want to fight HER before dark,” Marlene said but
as she looked back at everyone they were all fast asleep.
 “On second thought I guess we better rest up guys.  It’s going to be a big day
tomorrow,” Marlene said aloud, “Good-night.”
 That night Chloe woke up and couldn’t sleep.  She was thinking about defeating
HER and what the plan is for finally getting her.  “What about Sly we haven’t heard about
him for two days I wonder if he’s all right,” Chloe wondered. She was thinking about
waking up someone to discuss things with.  “How about Mackenzie.  I know we don’t get
along too well but he may understand,” Chloe thought.
 “Mackenzie . . . Mackenzie get up,” whispered Chloe as she was shaking him.
 “What? What is it?” mumbled Mackenzie.
 “Get up, please?” asked Chloe in a soft voice.
 “All right.  What is it?” Mackenzie questioned.
 “Shhhhh!  Not so loud you’ll wake everyone up,” Chloe whispered, “I need to talk
to someone.”
 “Why me?  I thought you hated me,” Mackenzie whispered.
 “I don’t hate you your my friend.  Anyway, what do you think they did with Sly
we haven’t heard about him for a long time,” Chloe asked softly.
  “I don’t know.  He’s probably all right though.  He is big and strong,” answered
Mackenzie softly.
 “I guess you’re right.  I don’t think we are strong enough to destroy HER do
you?” asked Chloe in a whispered voice.
 “Maybe.  We do have Abby with us and she’s pretty good for a kid,” replied
Mackenzie quietly.
 “You are soo right! Thanks Mackenzie!” said Chloe excitedly.
 “Shhhhh!” everyone said to them.
 “Wow she really likes me now!  At least she said I was her friend.  That’s always
good,” Mackenzie thought.
 It wasn’t long before the sun came up the very next day.
 “Hey Neil!  I’m starving!  Do you still have those leftovers from the Mr. and Mrs.
Mouses’ breakfast ?” asked Gavin.
 “Yep, sure do!” Neil replied.
 “I’ll go get wood for the fire,” said Chloe.
 “I’ll go with you.  You’ll probably get scared with all the mountain lions out
there,” Mackenzie said giggling to himself.
 “Don’t be so serious!  Like I would be scared.  You’re the one who’d get scared,
Mackenzie!” Chloe exclaimed.
 Then they both laughed and Mackenzie was still laughing when they left.
 “Is it just me or are those two acting funny all of the sudden?” Kara questioned.
 “You are right something is definitely wrong with them,” Gavin replied.
 It wasn’t long before Chloe and Mackenzie returned.  They looked like they were
getting along.  Chloe built a place for the fire, Mackenzie put the sticks in, and Marlene lit
it.  Then Neil heated the food and put it out for everyone and gave a little extra to Abby
because they really wanted to impress her.
 “By the way what year is it?  I have traveled to many planets and I get the years
mixed up,” Abby questioned.
 “It is 2106 and our school just got out so its summer,” answered Chloe.
 “So have you stayed long on Neptune?” asked Gavin.
 “Yeah, about a year in Earth time,” Abby replied, “It wasn’t as nice as the travel
guide on Mars said it would be.”
 “I visit my great-grandparents on the moon and they always talk about how we
used to only be able to live on Earth!  Imagine that,” said Kara.
 “That’s pretty weird.  I could never just stay on Earth.  Its way too boring!”
Caitlin said, “I’ve been to Uranus, Mars, and of course the moon.  I have to go to Neptune
sometime.”
 “I’ve only left Earth twice and that was for a field trip to the Planet Museum on
Jupiter and I went to the moon with my family,” Neil said, “I got sick on the way there to
both of them because I get motion sickness.”
 “I went to Pluto on a field trip and my cousin moved there,” Marlene started, “it’s
very cold there and I have to dress in layers when I go.”
 “Have you been to any planets, Gavin?” asked Abby.
 “Well, I did go to Mercury, Mars, Venus, and the moon, but I didn’t like Mercury
that much.  It was too hot,” Gavin answered.
 The quickly ate and finished their conversation about planets.
Abby was thinking of a plan to destroy HER.
 “Did you come up with any yet?” Kara asked.
 “Well, I think we should sneak in quietly, kill off the guards, get past the traps
without security noticing, sneak off into her room, and get her finally!” Abby said
excitedly.
 “Sounds like a plan,” Chloe said.
 “Wait a minute.  How are you guys planning to fight HER, you have no
weapons?” Abby questioned them.
 “Oh yes we do!  We all have powerful rings that can harm HER.  As we said we
are the Nightmare Chasers.  We are legendary fighters and our rings are all we need, trust
us,” Marlene answered.
 “If you say so but I can’t cover you all if they don’t work so you better make sure
they work,” said Abby.
 “I cured you with mine didn’t I?” Caitlin asked Abby.
 “All right.  I’m sorry, but we better get a move on,” said Abby.
 The kids moved towards her castle and sneaked on in.   They decided to split up
again so they wouldn’t get caught.
 “All right Abby, Chloe, Mackenzie, and Neil are in one group,” Marlene started to
say, “Gavin, Caitlin, Kara, and I are in the last group.  We will meet in front of her room.”
 “See ya guys later,” Mackenzie said.
 Marlene’s group took the elevator and Chloe’s group took the stairs.  Chloe’s
group encountered a battle!  There were two guards and an orange octopus.  Abby took
out an arrow and shot it at one of the guards.
 “Dexterity Doom!” screamed Chloe as a yellow beam covered everyone like a
bubble.  Their speed went up by 40%!
 “Terrifying Typhoon!” Neil yelled when a twisting hurricane came out of his ring
and spun the octopus away, “That was awesome!”
 “Flare Bomb!” Mackenzie called when a huge flame came out of his ring and
exploded on one of the guards and destroyed him.
 “Take that!” Abby exclaimed as her arrow destroyed the other guard.
 They have won 120 star coins.  650 (EXP) were gained!
 Then Marlene’s group got a battle too.  There were two guards, an orange
octopus, and an evil looking rat.
 “Bolt Torpedo!” yelled Marlene, as she aimed toward the rat.
 “World Peace!” Gavin exclaimed when he aimed at the octopus.
 “Whirling Wind!”  shouted the octopus and then it’s arms twirled around and hit
Gavin.  It was a critical hit!  Gavin was killed or (KO).
 “GAVIN!!!” screamed Marlene.
 “Angels of Life!” shouted Kara with her ring next to Gavin.  Then a miracle
happened.  Hundreds of angels gathered around Gavin and brought him back to life.
 “Gavin! You’re alive!”  Marlene said happily with tears running down her cheeks.
 “Yeah,” Gavin said.
 “Well, we better fight you guys.  The battle’s not over yet,”  said Caitlin.
 “Bolt Torpedo!”  shouted Marlene aiming for the guard and destroyed him.
 “Icicles Shattered!” Kara yelled aiming toward the octopus and killed it.
 “World Peace!” called Gavin when he hit and killed the rat.
 “Tsunami Storm!” Caitlin exclaimed as she destroyed the other guard in one blow.
 They received 116 star coins.  673 (exp) were gained!
 After each group fought their battles they finally reached the door to HER room
and reunited.
 “Well this is it guys, our journey finally ends here,” Gavin said reassuring them.
 “I’m soo nervous!” Kara said.
 “Me too,” said Abby.
 “I think we all are. Right?” Neil questioned.
 “Yeah,” replied Marlene, Caitlin, Gavin, and Chloe.
 “We should head on in,” Chloe said.
 “We knock first remember, Chloe?” Mackenzie asked.
 Everyone laughed and went inside of HER room.  They were really tense.
 “Excuse me but where is HER?” asked Mackenzie who was talking to a little
raccoon.
 “I’m Robber and I’m sorry she is very busy.  Why do you want to speak with her?”
the raccoon questioned.
 “We have come to defeat her,” Caitlin said,  “ . . .because we are.”
 “The Nightmare Chasers,” everyone replied.
 “Oh, the Nightmare Chasers.  She has been looking for you.  I’ll tell HER that
you’re here,” said Robber surprised.
 Robber walked into a small room which appeared to be a bathroom.
 “Wilhelmina, the Nightmare Chasers you have been searching for are here, my
lady,” Robber said.
 “Robber!  Can’t you see I’m in the tub!”  Wilhelmina shouted, “Lock them up or
something just make sure they don’t leave.  I have to dry off.”
 He left the bathroom and walked toward the kids.
 “Wait here she’ll only be a minute,” replied Robber.
 “Why should we wait she’s the one being evil!  I say we bust in that bathroom and
stop here right there and then!” Chloe said excitedly.
 “I don’t think that’s a good idea.  She’s in the bath tub and . .  . . ,” said Robber.
 “Robber!  I wasn’t in the bath tub I was just . . . you know . . . well whatever let’s
just fight,” Wilhelmina interrupted.
 “No arguments here!” said Chloe.
 “Wait a second isn’t there only supposed to be seven of you?” asked Wilhelmina.
 “I’m Abby and if you mess with me you’ll be in big trouble,” said Abby.
 “Oh yeah try me short stuff!” exclaimed Wilhelmina, “Feather Strike!”
 The kids all ducked and the sharp feathers flew over their heads.
 “Magic Barrier Protection!” Gavin called and then out of his ring flew huge
colorful rocks that fell in front of all the kids.  They were then protected from magic
attacks.  It only hurts them half damage!
 “Attack Barrier Protection!” Mackenzie yelled as huge yellow rocks came out of
his ring and landed in front of everyone.  They were now protected from attacks.  It only
hurts them half damage!
 “Dexterity Doom!” screamed Chloe.  Everyone’s speed went up by 40%.
 “Forces of Evil!” hollered Wilhelmina then a big dark cloud came over the children
and hit them.  It only hurt them half damage.
 “Tsunami Storm!” cried Caitlin and big tidal waves rose up and hit Wilhelmina.  It
was a critical hit!
  “I’ll save you my lady,” Robber started, “Claw Attack!”
 It hit Neil and paralyzed him!
 “Heart Recovery!” yelled Marlene with her ring pointed towards Neil, but it didn’t
unparalyze him.
 “Super Sonic Waves!” called Sly as he busted through the door heroically.
 “Sly you’re here you’re ok!” exclaimed Kara as she ran to him.
 “Yeah, Lord Xavier let me go to through HER off guard,” Sly started, “I see you
guys learned about your powers.  From whom though?”
 “We went to the wise old mouse Henry and he told us a lot and gave us our rings,”
Marlene said.
 “Then he told us to go to Aurora to learn what are powers are called and what
they do,” Gavin answered.
 “Aurora, bah!  My sister doesn’t know anything.  Besides, stop yacking and start
fighting,” said Wilhelmina, “Propelling Wing!”
 Her wing twirled around and punched out Caitlin.
 “All right take this!” said Harmony as she drew back her bow.
 “Ahhhhh!  So it has finally come to this.  You may have defeated me but you will
never be able to leave here.  Your transport home will never work again. Haaa Haaaa
HA!” screamed Wilhelmina, “Good-bye cruel world.”
 Then before she left she pulled a secret lever beside her bathroom.
 They gained 900 (EXP) and 1,000 star coins!
 “No way home?!” Kara sobbed.
 “Relax Kara, we’ll  find a way home,” said Caitlin.
 “So that’s it, we finally defeated HER without breaking a sweat?” Mackenzie
questioned.
 “Seems like it,” answered Gavin.
 The children now have a new journey.  One that will take years to end . . . . .
