Kakyu et les Starlight proviennent d'un autre systeme solaire semblable au nôtre.  Kakyu perdit tout dans un combat contre Galaxia et se réfugia dans un encensoir de cannelle, car elle proviens de la planette Kanel et les Starlight sont 3 de ses guerrières parties à sa recherche.  Elle veux tout faire pour aider Sailor Moon à détruire Galaxia et retrouver son amour perdu.  Les starlight apparurent sur la terre on ne sais trop comment et se firent passer pour des chanteurs affin de retrouver les sailors.  Elles se firent découvrir par Sailor Moon et les autres sailors et durent révéler leur identité.  Elles se sont battues courageusement jusqu'au bout, mais reviveront comme tout ce qui fut dans le Chaudron.
