Rurouni Kenshin Info

The Arc, as well as the entire series begins with Kenshin walking down the street when he is stopped by Kaoru who accuses him of being Battousai the manslayer, a killer from the revolution 10 years ago. After a short fight Kenshin shows Kaoru his sword which has a reverse blade so it could not harm anyone. Kaoru believes him but on the way back she meats up with the real battousai who has been killing people and she tries to fight him. Kenshin is able to save Kaoru and avoid the battousai. Well it turns out that the man was not really the battousai, but an old student that was shunned from Kaoru's school of swordsmanship. When he shows up at the Kamiya Kashine dojo to kill Kaoru, Kenshin shows up and defeats him with absolutaly no effort. Kenshin then decides to stay at the dojo for a while, also it is made clear that Kenshin acually is the Battousai, although since the revolution he has decided he would never kill again.
One day a boy tries to steal from Kenshin but is stopped. Kaoru finds out that he is sort of a slave to a local gang, she goes to their geadquarters to set him free because he seemed like a nice kid. The boy, Yahiko is stuck up, and wants to do everything on his own. Kaoru takes on most of the gang, but when she is trapped, Kenshin shows up to take out the rest of them. Yahiko sees Kenshin fight and decides he wants to be trained as a swordsman. But when he finds out it is Kaoru who will train him, he is dissapointed. They don't really get along to well.
Our next character comes into play when he is hired by the "fake battousai" to destroy Kenshin. He is Zanza fighter for hire and he is supposidly the toughest guy around. Although when he fights Kenshin he is defeated rather easily. He heals up really fast and decides to quit his job and hang out with Kenshin and the gang for a while. He was once part of a imperialist group betrayed by the imperialists. Since then he has hated imperialists. But Kenshin showed him they are not all that bad and he relizes now that he was being to judgmental. He changes back to his real name Sanoske and uses his leader from the revoltion's last name, Sagara.
The next challenge comes when Kenshin is told by a police officer that someone has been killing goverment officials before they even get the chance to pull out their weapons. He is told of his next target and Kenshin and Sano aswell as some other swordsmen and what not go wait to attack the killer when he gets there. The killer, as Kenshin suspected is Jenei, a swordsman from the revolution who uses a technique to freeze his enemies with his eyes before they can attack. This attack however does not work if you are at equal skill levels with your opponent. Sano can move alittle once frozen but Kenshin is able to free himself instantly and fight with Jenei. Jenei is dissapointed and says he will fight with Kenshin when he can bring himself back to the killer he used to be.
One day Kenshin is talking to Kaoru next to a stream and Jenei comes by on a boat and snatches her. Kenshin goes sycho and sets out to fight Jinei instantly. When he reaches the place, they begin to fight and Jenei is able to get Kenshin angry enough that he resorts somewhat back to what he was in the revolution. Kenshins eyes begin to narrow and he starts overwhelming Jinei. When Jenei uses his Paralizing attack on Kaoru so tight that it cuts off her oxygen supply. When Kenshin sets up for his final attack Jinei pays close attention, already knowing what the attack is, Kenshin draws his sword and slices at him. Jinei is able to dodge it but Kenshin gets him with the swords case. He is going to kill Jenei so the lock on Kauro will go away but Kauro gets so upset that the breaks the choke on her own. Jenei then kills himself and says how beautiful it feels, what a sicko. Life returns to normal.
One day Kenshin and Sano run into a girl on the run from some evil men. They protect her and find out she was making Opium for an evil empire run by a sychopathic evil buisness genious, her name is Megumi. The evil guy is name Kanryu Well obviously Kenshin and Kaoru and all them don't want her to go back but she is being heavily threatened at the expense of her friends. So she goes back. But Kenshin and Sano won't stand for it. They arrive at the gates of bad guy headquarters and fight the first enemy from the oniwaban group, a very dangerous group run by Aoshi Shinamori. He's so strong a battle forged practically nothing can hurt him, except maybe some real hard punches forged by the fists of Sano. Next is a man with a mask and a striped shirt who Kenshin can't seem to hit. Until he figures out the illusion created by the striped shirt and uses his sword to measure his arm and get in a few finishing blows. Next is Aoshi himself. Sano trys to attack him but is pounded hard to the ground. Now Kenshin attacks, Aoshi uses his short sword, a Kodachi to block every swing of Kenshin's sword, his defense is impossible to penetrate. Now Aoshi uses his ultimate attack, nearly killing Kenshin if it wasn't for his quick block with his sword case, although not really a block because he still got three rather large cuts across his chest. Now Aoshi trys the attack again but Kenshin sees its weakpoint and block, then holds his sword by the blade to make it as short as Aoshi's. After a little more of a fight. Kanryu, who has been very angry at Aoshi's ignorence lately, walks in with a gatlink gun. He tries to shoot Aoshi but the rest of the oniwaban jump in front of him. Then the last sacrafices himself to help Kenshin get behind the gun and wreck the evil, corporate, drug inducing scum! (sXe!!!!). Anyway, with the enemy defeated and Aoshi out of the way atleast temporarily, Kenshin and Sano run to the top floor to get Megumi. Sano gets her right before she can kill herself.
The storyline now takes a break and goes into some one episode mini-stories. Yahiko saves a pretty young girl from a gang in his first real battle. Kaoru helps a sumo wrestler train.Megumi proves herself as a doctor and Sanoske saves his friend from the revolution who is being drawn away from his peaceful life, back to a life of killing by his old gang.
Now the storyline picks up again when the Kamiya family along with Kenshin, Sano and Yahiko decide to tak a vacation. They meet a boy named Yutaro who wants someone to train him in as a swordsman, but Kenshin will not. So instead the boy finds Raijuta, a master swordsman from the revolution who gives Yutaro a real Japanese sword which he can't even handle. Not only this, but it turns out that Raijuta is going to declare independence on Japan and make his own empire with all swordsmen from the revolution. When Kenshin refuses to be part of it he is attacked by quite a few swordsmen, he wins easily but Yutaro is knocked into a river. Kenshin saves him and brings him back to the olace they are staying. Well when the time comes that an acual battle happens, all of Rajuta's men are shot by officials of the Menji army. Then Rajuta and Kenshin fight, Rajuta uses a sword technique where he doesn't even touch you, but the air pressure alone will slice right through you. Kenshin is able to figure the technique out and counter attack with his own version of it then hits him square in the shoulder defeating him. Unfortunantly Yutaro has been injured in his arm and can no longer use a sword, so he goes to Germany to see his doctor uncle so it may be fixed. Then he vows that he will come back and train at the Kamiya Dojo if it is better.
After that short vacation that didn't work out to well, they decide to go to Yokohama by train. Unfortunatly a train robbery takes place and Kenshin is knocked of the train. Then the train is stopped and Kenshin catches up on horseback to defeat the robbers and get the train started again.
Once back home, Sanoske sees a picture of the Sekihou Tai, his old group which was betrayed by the imperialists in the revolution drawn by someone and he thinks he knows who it was. He finds out where the artist lives and goes to his house. It is his old friend, Katsu from the Sekihou tai. Katsu has been planning revenge on the goverment for what they did to the Sekihou tai and he has made a vast number of explosives. He wants Sano to help but Sano refuses. After that alot of robberys are happening by a group claiming they are the Sekihou Tai, so Sano looks into it. He finds some leads and relizes it's the same people who set the sekihou tai up 10 years ago. When he goes to their headquarters he finds Katsu already there and they beat everyone of those who are making a mockery of the sekihou tai to a pulp. Sano is now found resposible for throwing a sake (alchohal) party at the dojo and once everyone is passed out, he sneaks out, Kenshin however is on to him. Sano meets up with Katsu to go blow up a goverment building, apparently he has given in. They get there and Katsu uses bombs to get the guards out of the way and they run in where they are faced by Kenshin. Katsu tries using bombs on Kenshin but he just blows out the fuses with a slash of his sword. Then Sano fights Kenshin. Although he is beat badly it makes him rerelize that Kenshin hates the wrong doings of the goverment just as much as him and makes Katsu relize this aswell.
The last part of the arc occurs when Kenshin and Kaoru and them all are asked to help protect a boat against pirates. But when a fight happens on the boat, Kaoru is kidnapped, Kenshin trades his life for her and he is taken away by the pirates. Once they get to the pirate island, the leader, Shura, declares that she will be the one to kill Kenshin, in a fair fight, because he spared her life. meanwhile a pirate from the group who is feeling very rebelious has found opium in the crates they stole, lots of opium. he decides he's going to sell it but first he must get rid of Shura. When the pirates dock to make a deal with the real opium dealer, Kaoru, Sano and Yahiko hide on their boat. But apparently the pirates knew they were there because when they get back to their isnland, they blow up the boat. By now it is obvious that Shura is falling in love with Kenshin. When the pirates corner Shura and Kenshin and Shura is injured Kenshin grabs her and jumps off and cliff into a waterfall. Everyone thinks they are dead and now the rebel pirate Ginjo is the new leader. Kenshin takes shura into a cave behind the waterfall and it is seen that Kaoru and the rest survived the exposion. When Shura is alittle better and finds out Ginjo is drug dealing she swears revenge. She shows up at Ginjo's party just in time to crash it. She breaks his axe but he slips out a dagger and pushes it into her wound. Kenshin shows up and destroys all the bad pirates and the whole place ends up blowing up and Kenshin walks out of the flames with Shura on his shoulders just in time to meet up with Yahiko, Kaoru and Sano. Shura departs from them telling Kenshin she would like to meet him again someday, as a friend
