As Hikawa's priestess Rei takes care of the shrine. She always has a broom in her hand...
But this dedication gives her the amazing power to read fire. Along with this type of divination she likes Tarot cards, Ouija and other kinds of occult tools. She's very spiritual.
As a student, Rei is extremely popular. Everyone at T*A loves her. She's very proper (has to be) and careful to follow the rules. When Minako came to T*A she found out just how bad private school can be, however. Even though T*A has no exams and a great 'cafeteria' restaurant, it has plenty of nuns ready to open a can of whup-ass. :)
Let's tackle a touchy subject- Rei's friends. Usagi first.
"Now I know why you have meatballs on your head! To go with the spaghetti between them!"
That's one of the most famous of Rei's quips to Usagi. But as much as both Rei enjoys making Usagi squirm, Rei loves her very much. They're like sisters. I fight with mine all the time, doesn't everyone? Rei wants Usagi to be all she can. Eventually, thanks to Rei and Luna, Usagi does become that.
Now Minako. This friendship is much more revealed in manga. I've seen plenty of sites where people wonder if Rei and Minako have a relationship like Michiru and Haruka, and the obvious answer is NOT. Minako chases after guys constantly. Rei doesn't, but she did have Chad and Darien in anime and Kaidou in manga. Although in the Stars manga, Rei does make the comment that "We... don't need men." while stepping close to Minako and putting her arm around her (it's really cute). Minako is just really touchy-feely, being the goddess of love, and Rei doesn't mind it too much. Besides, opposites attract and there's an astrological reason for this. Mars and Venus in Roman mythology are lovers.
Anyway, Rei is the beautiful priestess and a good student, and a kawaii friend.
