| Like the rest of the scouts Raye was once a Princess in a time called, the Moon Kingdom. She was the princess of the planet Mars. She was a loyal and stood by Princess Serenity's side till the very end. She like all the rest was sent to the future to be reincarnated into the Hino family. With her fearless character and pretty face Luna wondered if Raye could be the Princess she's been looking for. But it turned out that Raye is Sailor Mars. Even her name projects her strong fiery character. You're wondering, how did Raye sence the presence of evil when she first appreared in the anime and manga, well as you probably already know she has psychic powers, and she is able to sence the enemy. This ability also lets her have visions, usually warning her about evil things. Raye goes to TA Private School, which is an exclusive girl's school, where she gets to wear a different uniform. But she studies with the other inner scouts at her house. Other than being Sailor Mars, a student, a normal teenager, and a friend to the inner scouts, she is also a Shinto priestess. This is a responsibility that she takes very seriously, especially beause her grandfather (she calles him oji - chan) owns Hikawa Jinja (or Cherry Hill Temple in which Raye lives with her grandfather). The fact that she lives with her grandfather can be explained by the fact that her father is a high rank government official, who is too busy to see her (awww... *so sad*). She doesn't like her father beacuse of this, and also because when her mother was dying he didn't take much notice of her. Raye is quite rich if you consider her father's high standing and the fact that her grandfather owns a temple. At her school Raye is treated like a queen, although she doesn't really have any close friends, becuase she doesn't like to get too close to people. Raye is a fiery and headstrond Aries, and represents the planet Mars, the planet of war and fire. Her presonality in the manga is different from her personality in the anime, because in the manga she is more serious and doesn't trust men, whereas in the anime she's represented as being mean and immature and even making heart shaped eyes at Tuxedo Mask. |
