Although Darien starts off cruel to Serena, he warms up to her after a half-season or so. Tuxedo Mask is a very powerful ally of the scouts (although he has weak attacks, he is a great motivator) and is actually the future king of Earth. For some dramatic reason or another, he usually enters fights half-way or when Serena and friends are in trouble. He doesn't have very many powers, but is there more for moral support or advice on how to defeat an enemy. Throwing a rose is pretty much the only attack he has (sometimes he will use his cane, but it isn't very helpful) and more often that not, he uses his roses for defense rather than an attack. During most of the last season, Sailor Stars, Darien is away at college in America.

Darien's parents were killed in a car crash when he was young so he lived in an orphanage most of his life. He was involved and I guess got amnesia, so he couldn't remember his past until Serena became the Moon Princess.

Even though he constantly teases Serena about her bad grades and her klutziness, he really loves her and would never do anything to put her in harm's way. It was kind of ironic in the beginning how Serena hated Darien but had a crush on Tuxedo Mask.

Tuxedo Mask has been brainwashed and turned evil several times, but their love has always broken through any barrier, which goes to show, it must be extremely strong. His other identities include Moonlight Knight (when he projected an image to save the Sailor Scouts after he lost his memories), Prince Darien (Endymion), and Neo-King Darien (Endymion).

*In the manga, when he first meets Serena he is a Junior in High School, he shows her his student I.D. At that time, he is 16 when Serena is 14. But then he goes off to college, so it's pretty confusing.

**INTERESTING FACT: Darien is actually a senshi, although not a SAILOR senshi (Senshi=soldier) of the earth. There was no princess of the earth like there were of the other planets. That's why it doesn't make sense when fans invent "Sailor Earth" for means of fanfic or whatever because in reality, there couldn't be, there isn't enough room in Serena's court!!
