Yoo-hoo, it is I, moongirl. That picture was actually taken about two years ago, when I was 18. I'd just gotten my braces off, which was like, the best day of my life. It feels sooo good to get all that freakin' metal out of your mouth....but I digress.

I've finally decided to make a webpage about me, so that I have something to link all those "About Me" things to on my "Kikaider" and "Speed Racer" pages. Did I say "Speed Racer"?? Yes, I did. That has got to be my favorite show of all time, which is funny, since I don't like auto racing. But there's more to the show than that. Plus, Speed's kinda cute. ^_^

Anyway, I tend to categorize my life experiences (so far!) into three chunks, based on where I've lived:

Birth to Age 7
I was born in Sacramento, CA but was actually being brought up in the Silicon Valley, in a town called Sunnyvale. Wasn't in school very long before dad got a job transfer which sent us on to Boston, and the next chunk of my life.

Age 7 to Age 15
Spent this time growing up in Massachusetts. After that first shaky year (1992) my family settled in Georgetown and that's where I attended school for most of my school-attending-time...yeah. XD It was kind of a rough time, though. Everybody in town knew that my mother had dealt with cancer, but what they didn't know (especially my peers) was that almost directly after I'd gotten through that I was smacked with the sudden death of a friend of mine that I'd known since preschool. I became very withdrawn after that. Nobody picked on me, but I'm sure they all thought I was some kind of weirdo.-_-

However, all did not suck. It was in MA that I met my best friend Alicia Bailey. She and I stuck together like velcro. I got her hooked on Japanese animation...lol! We were HUGE "Sailor Moon" fans. And it was while I was living in MA that I discovered "Speed Racer", when it was being aired on the Cartoon Network. And then there were the cute boys I had crushes on: there was Jesse Cote, and there was...Joe Cardoza.

I'd first gotten a crush on the latter boy in the 5th grade. He sat in front of me in Math and I saw him at church, since both our families were Catholic. Anyway, my childhood friend then died (;~;) and I was on emotional hiatus for a while, but in junior high I fell in love with Joe again. Unfortunately, he didn't really like me all that much. T_T Eventually, he went away to start freshman year at a prep school down in like, Peabody or someplace. My freshman year was the last year of school I would do in MA, because at the end of that year, my family went to Texas.

Age 15 to Age 20
I spent this time in Texas....yee-haw. There are some very obnoxious people living down there and basically, everybody's poor. And fat. Houston was voted America's fattest city--no joke! And everybody drives pickup trucks. Not Mazda-Toyota-small-pickup trucks, but huge, big, monster Dodge-Ford-Chevy-Double-wheel-Jacked-Up-2-mpg-pickup trucks. Whether they need to or not. And everybody down there supports Bush. Like, everybody. Texas, as a state, is as red as the blood in your veins. It's almost scary. O_o

But I digress. It was while I was living in Texas that I came of age: first job, first car, first trip away from home without mom or dad--A-Kon 15, in Dallas! It was me and two friends, away for the weekend at an anime convention. OMG, it was a blast! ^_^ But then I had arguements with both friends over one thing or another, and we stopped hanging out. Life sucked for a while, but then I met another group of kids and we started to hang out. I got this great job at a movie theater...which I then had to give up after two months because my stupid parents decided to divorce. >_< I chose to go with mom back to California.
