Anyways, there is a change of plans--instead of gathering energy, Zoicite is to secure the Seven Rainbow Crystals to unleash the deadly warriors trapped inside by Queen Serenity. She actually kills her predecessor Neflite to gain his position and Queen Beryl's favor and she uses Neflite's dark crystal to find the crystal holders and get their crystals. The Rainbow Crystals are the seven fragments of the shattered Imperium Silver Crystal, the most powerful crystal in the Universe and the only object truly powerful enough to stop even Queen Beryl.

The holders of the crystals are people on Earth who unknowingly carry them. As she releases the crystals from her unexpecting victims, the Seven Shadows, Queen Beryl's finest warriors, are released from the crystals and take over the people's bodies. But all is lost when Sailor Moon arrives to cast the healing powers of the Crescent Moon Wand.

Zoicite teleports in and out in a shower of flower petals, and she can also use these petals to trap or distract her opposition. She was trained by the most senior of the warriors, Malachite. But not even Malachite can help with her greatest weakness: her lust for revenge. Unfortunately, that fool Tuxedo Mask gets in the way and steals a few crystals, and she eventually becomes enraged. She has an absolute hatred of Tuxedo Mask, more so than the Sailor Scouts. She becomes so enraged that she disobeys the direct orders of Queen Beryl. Instead of taking Darien (whom they now know is Tuxedo Mask) alive, she plots twice to destroy him. She almost succeeds the second time, but in the process, she reveals Sailor Moon's true past as Princess Serena as well as cause the Imperium Silver Crystal to be reformed and secured in the princess's possession.

Zoicite is executed(unjustly) by Queen Beryl for insubordination of direct orders, in episode #31 "A Reluctant Princess", and Malachite takes over.
