Cruising Kids
Sometimes being on the boat is boring.  When this happened my brother and I did some fun crafts.

Magazine:
Materials:
paper
stapler (to connect pages)
pencils
Something used to add color to pictures(optional)
Directions:
Draw a title with the name of your magazine on the first page.  Then add things to do in your magazine such as dot-to-dots, mazes, coloring pictures, matching items, and anything else you would find in a magazine.  Staple it together.  Now you have made your own magazine packed with what you like!  You can keep it or give it to your friend to play with.

Castle:

Materials:
cardboard
tape
glue
scissors
yarn
cardboard tubes
paper
your choice (Be Creative!!)

Directions:
Use craft items to make a castle.  You can add a draw bridge that opens and closes with yarn or make towers with cardboard tubes.  Be as creative as you want, it's your castle!
Navigation Creation:

Combine your navigation skills with your creativity by mapping out your trip.  First, ask mom or dad to help you navigate where you will be traveling each day.  On an extra map, draw the course out and keep a log of what happened on each leg of your journey.  You can even add souveniers and pictures to spice up your map.  Then, when you get home you can look back at your map and remember all the great places you visited.
Sand Candles
Materials:

Heat Source
Water
Candle Wax
Candle Wick
2 Metal Bowls
Adult to Help
Directions:

On the beach, dig the shape of your candle in the sand.  Heat up wax and pour into shape.  Wax will dry in sand and come out like the shape you dug.

Heating Wax:
Heat wax by placing wax in a metal bowl.  Place bowl with wax inside a larger bowl that contains water.  The larger bowl with water will keep the wax from burning.

*Remember to put a wick in your candle.
