| I decided to take a little trip to the drag strip today and I do mean little. Its only about 2min from my house so I can usually hear the cars on a calm day from the yard. I wanted to finally test my supercharger before I did any more mods to the engine. Basically other than the supercharger all Ive done are some fuel system mods, most importantly a larger fuel pump, some mods to the fuel rails and hoses and a K&N air filter. I was pleasantly surprised with my runs considering the mods I have compared to some other 4runners with considerably more and only a few tenths faster. But Im sure there are many variables to take into consideration, weather, track conditions etc. Speeking of which there was a 24mph head wind with gusts of up to 35 that Im sure didnt help my times much. Over all it was alot of fun especially when I smoked a Ford Explorer pretty bad and just barley beat a Chevy. He smoked me on the next run though because I tried power braking it only to go nowhere while I just sat there spinning the tires. Heres the time slip with my best time of the day. |
