| Sephiroth, the son of Hojo, Lucrecia and a touch of Jenova cells, was a planned experiment to create an ancient. A tattoo of the number one states that he was the ultimate clone out of several. He spent most of his life being trained by Professor Gast to soon become the top ranking-SOLDIER. After discovering the truth of his exsistence on a mission in Nibelheim, he has a break-down and goes crazy destroying everything and everyone in his sight. (The survivers were used as clones by Shrina) Still believing Jenova is his mother, he cuts her head off clean in the reactor at Mt. Nibel. While in the process of doing so, he kills Tifa's father. Cloud, who witnessed the whole scenario, thought nothing but revenge for destroying his hometown. An un-explainable stregnth came over him as he threw Sephiroth into the lifestream after being stabbed by his Masamune. Sephiroth was then carried up to the Northern Crater and sealed to rest. After only five years, he used his powers to control the clones roaming about the planet to get Cloud to find him the Black Materia. |
