| Born in Gongaga, Zack was formerly a 1st-Class SOLDIER that followed Sephiroth on his missions. He was also a ladies man, so to speak. He dated Aeris and Tifa at one time. Influenced by Sephiroth from early child-hood, it was a dream of his to fight beside him. At his last mission, accompanied also by his best-friend Cloud, Sephiroth had gone on a killing spree after discovering the truth of his past. After Cloud threw Sephiroth into the lifestream, Shrina captured Zack and Cloud. Hojo, who was trying to create a clone of Sephiroth, experimented with them. Zack managed to escape, only after Cloud's memory was washed away by Mako energy leaving him lifeless. (as he was during the game in the Forgotten City) As they traveled together, Zack helped Cloud throughout their entire journey. Zack planned to start a mercenary business in Midgar to help them create a new life. He told Cloud of all his war experiances, which eventually became all Cloud could remember basing his entire life on them. On their way to Midgar, Shrina troops sited them and began firing. Killing Zack leaving him fully equipped, and taking one look at Cloud's already lifeless body, they decided to leave him due to him being pointless to kill. Cloud then gained some of his consciousness, picked up Zack's Buster Sword, put on his armor, and headed to Midgar. After getting to the train station he passed out again. This is where Tifa discovered him. As she asked about everything that happened, his memories of Zack's stories became his forgotten life. Tifa then gave him a job to help AVALANCE, as she made a goal to find out what really happened. | |
