| Seto, Nanaki's (Red XIII) father was once the leader of the people of Cosmo Canyon. Through the cause of the war, Seto was shot with poison arrows turning him into stone. This making it so he could not save his wife who got killed. Bugenhagen then sealed Seto by a unopenable steal door. Nanaki never knew of his father and what happened to him. He had always assumed that he ran off in fright of the war leaving him and his mother. Hojo, then kidnapped Nanaki and used him for scientific experiments. He tattooed the number XIII on him indicating he was the thirteenth experiment. Hojo then tried to cross-breed him and Aeris due to them both being rare "animals". Cloud rescued them and brought him on their journey. After seeing Bugenhagen again, Nanaki was revealed the secret of his father Seto, who was still alive, but unable to move. | |
