I just picked up a stack of about 40 copies of the latest issue of Equalizing Distort featuring an interview with us. They will be available free at our shows. A digital copy of the interview will eventually be available on the Equalizing Distort website (see links section) but we have also put it up on our site in the new "Press" section.

Tomorrow we are playing an all day festival show at The Parking Lot (??) in Cambridge, Ontario. I don't know any of the details except that we are playing around 1:30 or something. That's 1:30 in the afternoon.
Ottawa was fantastic. Thanks to Jo, Erica, Grady, and everyone else in Ottawa for being so into us and housing us and showing us around the city. It was worth the 12 hours in our truck. All the bands we played with were amazing.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the ExD benefit last night at adrift, it was a great show. Pictures from the radio show last sunday are up.

April 4

Saigon Distress Signal would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Stephe and Equalizing Distort for having us play last night. We had a great time and we hope everyone who listened enjoyed our set and non-alcoholic beer filled interview! Pictures from the session will be up soon!
We have completed our tracks for what is offically being called "Distort Toronto Compilation Vol. 1". The songs we have included are "As If You Could Kill Time Without Injurying Eternity", "No Life Will Suffice" and "Within Darkness". Be sure to come to the release show this Saturday. See the shows section for my information.

March 21

THE SPLIT IS STILL ON, TIME IS A FACTOR IT MAY TAKE ALITTLE LONGER THEN PLANNED. Motorhate is under a completely different lineup and we couldn't be more excited, see you guys or listen to us on SUNDAY PEACE

March 8

A little news from the weekend. We played a killer set on Saturday at the show at Ania's. Not a lot of people but I hope whoever was there enjoyed it. More importantly, we have been asked to play a benefit show for CIUT's EqualizingXDistort. All the bands that have played their Studio 3 session have been asked to play. Some bands are still to be confirmed so keep checking here or EXD's site for updates on bands, venue, price etc. The cool part about this show is all of these bands have been asked to record a few songs for a compilation of Toronto hardcore that will be released at the show. We are going to have a busy weekend finishing the Motorhate split and recording new stuff for the comp. Don't forget to see No Fucker with Concrete Tank on the 20th at Planet Kensington. We can no longer play the show, but go go go. Also, come May we will begin writing material for our full length album. One love.

February 20

We had two great gigs this week, at the Black Swan with The Famous Monsters, and at the Kathedral with The 3Tards and guests. Huge thank yous to both bands for putting us on the bills, and thanks to everyone who came out. We have pictures from both gigs taken by our friend Davey and they look awesome. Take a look at them in the new pictures section .

February 7th

Saigon Distress Signal has been invited to play on Toronto's only radio show dedicated to hardcore punk music, EqualizingXDistort. We will be playing a live to air set, followed by an interview on April 3rd. In case you don't know (where have you been?) EXD is on CIUT89.5FM every sunday night from 10-12.
The split is coming into being and I must say that both us, Motorhate and AAF are all extremely excited about the potential of the album. Recording will be finished up within a few weeks and cover art will be posted as soon as possible.

January 10

Hope everyone had an awesome winter break and celebrated however you saw fit. On Saturday we were all at a show and decided it would be a good idea to take BOM's equipment and play a short set as Saigon Drunk Signal. We played "Beer", "Beers", and "Beeeeeeer" (aka Eventually, The Rot, and Absolute Affluence). It was clearly obvious that we were under the influence but I hope everyone enjoyed our pirated set! In other news, the track listing for the 7" I said before is confirmed. The new tune does not yet have a name because we haven't choosen which of the plethora of lyrics we have to go with the music we have. Motorhate has their site up and running now so be sure to check them out (although their MP3's don't seem to be working). Sorry for the sparatic updates and lack of shows. We are all busy with school and work.

December 27

We are unable to play the New Years show. I know it sucks but hey, we aren't going anywhere so stay tuned for future shows. We will be recording our half of the split in January. Possible track listing includes Eventually, The Rot, No Life Will Suffice and a new tune.

November 15

No shows currently lined up but keep coming back. See you at World Burns To Death on the 19th.

October 21

So we have sealed the deal with Alerta Antifacista Records and the split with Motorhate will be released in Europe on that label...Again updates will be made frequently on this release

October 18

Officially confirmed today Saigon Distress Signal and Denmarks' very own d beat/motorhead worship Motorhate will be releasing a split 7" for early 2005...details, artwork etc... to come later. On a sidenote you are able to buy motorhates album online from No Pasaran . We suggest checking them out.
