Chapter two:

A/N: small Ifrit bashing. R&R please! ^__^

 

After a few moments walk, he stopped at a clearing and turned around to me. An odd look on his face.

 

“What did you want to talk about?” I stared at those beautiful eyes of his.

“Well, Fuu, as a new sorceress, you can’t really control your powers” he started explaining. Fuu, get away from here, please!

What? “So you’re going to teach me?” a side ways smirk played on his features. 

Move it! Run! “Not quite..” he shrugged “not me anyways”

Why? “Then who?” what is this strange mind-to-mind conversation? Why was he asking me to run away? Before he even started speaking again, the Regnarok flew near by and made a halt right above us.

 

I looked down at Seifer and he had a determent look on his face “they will”

Suddenly, a metallic cage dropped from the airship above and landed to trap me. At the very recognition, I grabbed the metallic bars and tried concentrating for physical force, none came.

 

A small beep came from under me and a flat hard plate of metal scraped at the ground and sealed the cage from the bottom. Oh my god! The rattle of the metallic chain that started pulling me upwards was almost ear-piercing. I shut my ears and glared down at the blond traitor, how could you do this to me, Seifer? I trusted you!

 

He watched me until the chain stopped screeching and I found myself in a closed room save for a single door and the opening beneath me, which, by the way, sealed just as I entered.

 

Tears stung at my eyes.. Seifer, the only person I’ve ever trusted my life with, betrayed me. Now I understood why everybody in garden refused to let him back, I understood how stupid I now look when I fought with him and convinced the headmaster to give him a second chance.. How pathetic. Fujin, I hate you.. 

 

The single door opened and in came the SeeD commander, Squall Leonhart… I hate him too…

 

“Fujin” he nodded to me in his usual dumb way.

“Who do you think I am, headmaster cid?” I frowned.

He didn’t seem to be amused “we are taking you to Esthar; Dr. Odine needs to make some tests on you”

“I’m not a lab rat! Get me out of here!” I shouted, and tried concentrating on a flare, I’ve never been able to draw it, but I feel it there, along with the other stocked magic I have. Odd…

“Don’t even try magic; this room has an anti magic field.” He crossed his arms and the door opened again behind him. Revealing the love of my life and my worst enemy starting today…

“Seifer” I murmured. He just nudged the commander in the ribs and whispered something to him, the brunet messed up his face and stomped out of the room, cursing the day he gave Selphie the instructions manual..

The blond turned around and looked at me with a smirk.

 

I didn’t speak, for if I did, I would have broken down and cried.

“Sorceress Fujin” he closed the space between the door and the animal cage in three long strides.

“Bastard Almasy” I replied. The nerve!

I’m sorry, they forced me! “How are you?”

Hah, I’m not buying it, you can just take your damn apologies and shove it up your- “being laughed at and tricked like an idiot, it feels a lot like being you, Seifer” I crossed my arms, unconsciously digging my nails into my arms.

That hurt! “Ha ha.. Very funny.. Seriously, Fuu, they won’t do anything to you! There just going to make some tests!” he exclaimed rather innocently, shrugging slightly for effect.

And you bought that? “No Seifer, they are going to freeze me to death!” don’t you ever read what happens to bad kids who don’t listen to their matron and turn into sorceresses? They freeze them to death, “I have the powers of the most powerful four sorceresses ever to live! Seifer they wont let me live!” 

No... “Nonsense.. Odine isn’t as smart as a-” suddenly, Leonhart’s voice was on the intercom calling for Seifer’s presence. Damn, I wanna talk to you more Fuu; I can’t believe I just did that to you!

Just shut your brain! You’re not going to sweet talk me any longer! “I think the only idiot around here is you Seifer” I turned around at the sound of the door closing. And let a few tears escape, this is too much.. I hate this..

 

I hate Rinoa too.. And Adel, and Ultemecia.. Edea too.. Now I’m starting to resent myself!  This is childish; I’m a grown up not an animal! Get me out of here!

 

Suddenly the plane shook and I fell to the floor, dust and dirt stuck between my fingers and under my nails.. Who is the stupid pilot? I bet its-

 

“oopsie~ sorry folks! It was just a bit bumpy, but fear not! Selphie had taken care of-” then another voice cut in “just drive.”

 

I almost giggled but then the door opened again and I stood up, dusting my pants.

 

“As I was saying,” Squall walked in again and brushed back his hair. “Dr. Odine will just have some tests on you, and then you will be placed under surveillance in Garden”

“WHY?” you didn’t let them have tests on Rinoa! I’m not a heartless animal! “LEAVE!”

“Sorry” he shook his head and was about to leave.

“Squall Leonhart!” I shouted and he whirled around to look at me “if it were Rinoa, you wouldn’t have let them!”

His brows met and his gaze fell to the floor “that’s why we need you for the tests, it might save Rinoa”

“You love sick puppy, she dumped you!” I accused cruelly “you can’t do that to me just to-“

“Enough!” he frowned and exited before I gave him a piece of my mind.     

 

If it were the other way around, he would have ignored me and kept Rinoa as far away from that lunatic doctor as he can. Why me? Him and I are alike, being mean to people just to keep away from the pain, why can’t he see that? And Seifer, he knows me better than anybody else in the world, why do this to me? Isn’t this enough? My vision blurred as tears welled in my eyes threatening to spill, I wont cry, I wont give them the pleasure of seeing me vulnerable and weak.

 

There was another jerk and I cursed loudly, I’m going to kill that Tilmit girl when I get the chance… I sat down cross-legged and closed my eyes, maybe if I concentrate real hard, I could break the anti-magic field and get my self free.

SORCERESS~

 

A thundering voice rang in my head. Who is that?

 

WHEN PAIN IS UNBEARABLE, CALL UPON ME~

 

Who is that? Ifrit?

I heard that already, who are you?

“Oki-doki , when pain is unbearable, I’ll give you a buzz” I spoke to nobody in precise, Its either that I’m going crazy or Ifrit is playing a prank on me… Guardian forces have humor too, I suppose... though the voice was much deeper and scary than that of Ifrit.  

 

“Sorceress Fujin” a strong looking man walked in, I didn’t allow any visits!

“WHAT?”

“Let’s go” he pulled on black gloves and pressed a few buttons on a pad by the door, the seal opened and he approached me.

“WHERE?” he grabbed my arm, roughly, and electricity buzzed around me, not hitting him at all.

“Heh heh, plastic gloves baby, now move it” he shoved me in front of him and guided me through the door. We walked for a while through a maze of hallways and engine rooms. we reached a double door and when it was open, brilliant white light blinded my vision and I squinted to see.

 

“move it” the man shoved me through the door and I almost fell to my knees, when I thought that I had no other power left to resist, it took him one hard shove and I went flying forward. Instead of hitting the ground, though, I found myself falling into somebody’s arms. 

 

“She might be a sorceress but she is still female” the harsh accusation was accompanied with gentile hands holding my arms, and lifting me up straight. I peered up and was met with deep green pools separated by a faint scar.

 

“Seifer, let me go!” I struggled and tried to call for the buzzy electricity to make him let go of me, none of it came!

“Let’s go Fuu,” he pushed me gently in front of him.

“Seifer, Let me go! You shouldn’t do that to your friend!” I thrashed frantically.

“Fujin!” he stopped and looked at me “they will NOT do anything to you okay! Odine told me so” and I don’t believe it!

“Odine is insane! He just wants another toy to play with! Let go of me!”

“Nah, he won’t live long enough to hurt you, if he ever tries. Now come on!” he guided me into Odine’s laboratory and I felt tightness in my throat, no Seifer!

“Seifer, think again! It won’t do you any good to give me to them! Lets just get out of here!” I struggled.

“No, no and NO”

Why aren’t I zapping you?

Dunno… maybe because you love me?

Get out, I used to, but not anymore  

Then go ahead and zap me..

 

I closed my eyes and started thinking negative thoughts, Seifer hates me, he still loves Rinoa, he is just using me for his own good.. I hate him too!

 

When I opened my eyes I found him about three miles away, rubbing his sore hand and staring at me with a pained look on his face “now what the HELL was *that* for?” he frowned.

I swallowed hard and looked down at my hands and saw after shocks of voltage leave my palm. I’m free! I made a dash to the door but just as I was about to pass through, it closed.

 

“You vill not ezcape!” oh great.. I whirled around and found the lunatic dwarf holding a funny looking gun, for me it seems like a water gun. “do not move, or you vill be harmed!”

“With a water pistol?”  I mocked and cast a fira spell on him.

“Hey, don’t shoot okay? She’s harmless!” Seifer got up and walked to the clown.

“ztay away from zis!” the doctor jerked his hand away like a child when the blond tried to take the gun. “It iz dangerous!”

“Yeah, as dangerous as your looks, gimme that!” Seifer’s temper was as thin as a silken thread, barely holding “or else!”

“ztay away from me you vacko!” the doctor ran around like a kid.

I tried to take the opportunity and work my way out, but the door had no lock at all, probably automatic locking, damn!

 

“I SAID give it to me!” Seifer ran around after the doctor and was able to grasp the gun, but not take it away, foolish games had their consequences, the trigger was pulled and a beam of white light raced to me, pain surged through my whole body and all of my energy was drained. I fell to my knees.

 

“DAMMIT! Now look at what you’ve done!” all I could remember before I fell unconscious, was Seifer’s voice cursing and the small voice of the doctor accusing.

I opened my eyes and found myself in a fluffy bed suited for a princess. I stared at the ceiling for a long time before I realized that I will need to move to see anything else… slowly, as if moving hurts, I rolled my head to the side and was met with big puppy dog eyes that clearly said ‘I’m cute, hug me’

 

“Shiva! She’s awake!” the small creature toddled over to the door and with the cutest voice, called urgently again “Shiva!”

“Didn’t I tell you to stay of the room?” a female voice scolded gently in a hushed voice.

“I’m sowwy! But Curbuncle was vewy quiet! swear!” I got up on my elbows to see a lady clad in blue walking towards me, I squinted my eyes through the sleepy dust that covered my eyes, and I was stunned to realize, her skin was blue as well!

 

“Sorceress Fujin, I’m so relieved that you have awaken!” she bowed respectfully to me, this is a dream! This has to be a dream!        

I gulped air and sat up straight, watching as the blankets fell away from my body revealing a white luxurious night gown. “w-who.. did-“

“I changed your clothes, my apologies, but they were not suited for the ultimate sorceress of time and space!”

“The WHAT? Where am I? How did I get here?”

“Your highness, you have been pained quite badly and Bahamut decided that bringing you here to heal was the best decision” she looked afraid, of who, me?

“Yes, we fear you; we are your humble servants”

“You can hear me think? I mean, I don’t want servants! Just bring me back!” 

“but you have not healed properly! You are yet to recover your full powers!”

“I DON’T WANT POWERS!” I shouted and hopped out of bed, aiming for a dash to the door, but just as I took one step away from the bed, my knees turned into mush and I fell to the floor, dizzy with lack of oxygen.

“Oh! Dear” the ice queen approached me and helped me back into my bed. Though she did freeze my arm to the bone, it’s the heart that matters. “You mustn’t exhaust yourself, my queen; you have lost a lot of energy because of that Ultima pistol.”

“Huh?” my head hurts..         

“Awe you okay?” the cute Curbuncle patted quickly pass the room and peered at me curiously.

“Yes, she will be fine, now go play with your blocks, Curby”

“Aww, bwocks awe bowing!” he pouted cutely “they dun tawk!”

“Its okay” I agreed “he can stay if he wants” just stop fighting. “and call me Fujin, just Fujin, no formalities”

“Okay! Fujin! Whatcha wanna pway?”

“She’s not well enough to play most Curbuncle games; you said you just wanted to talk!” Shiva sat on a chair next to me; the cute fluffy fellow sat on my lap and stared curiously at me again.

“Why is youwe haiw white?” he touched my hair with his tiny paws.

“Curbuncle!” Shiva hissed and took him off me “don’t ask these things, now shoo, go play somewhere else”

 

“*sob Sob* but I wanna tawk!”

“go play with Bahamut!”

“Bahamut is like a wock! He dusnt move ‘n he dusnt tawk!”

“Who told you that?” she frowned, strakes of icy hair falling over her brows.

“Diabowos!” he shuffled his foot on the shiny floor.. This is too much, I need to lay down..

I rested down on the bed, my feet dangling on the side and touching the chilly floor.

A frustrated sigh filled the silence and I heard her voice scold again “go play with your blocks, and I don’t care if they don’t talk! Most toys don’t”

“But I dun wanna!” he sniffled sadly “youwe mean!” with that; tiny feet ran out of the room.

 

I tried to remember the last thing I remember, but then was figured out that I don’t remember anything! I got up to ask the guardian force female, but before I blinked, a purple cloud of something purple came rushing through the door and flung itself out of the window, behind it, was a furious Ifrit who threw the door open -breaking it out of its hinges- and ran after the previous enigma “GET THAT GIMME-CAT!” he blinked a few, leaning against the window frame and cursing loudly “damn freaking cat, never took a moment to-“ blinky blink “OH! sorceress Fujin!” he threw himself on the floor, attempting a bow but breaking his nose instead, he got up, rubbing the sore spot “I’m sorry, but that stupid gimme-cat stole my presiouse *mumble mumble* and I had to retrieve it or else Diablos will *murmur murmur* and then *whisper to himself* so you see! I just had to get’em or else-“

“Shut up Ifrit” Shiva quietly walked towards him and gave him a good shove then watched him as he flew out of the window “WOW! You’re pretty brave Ifrit! You know how high this mansion is? And the fifth floor? *gasp* I’m impressed!” she faked amusement.

 

A weak sound of bones breaking was heard before a small voice “duh- suhs that mean.. youd- oww.. go out wid me?”

The ice lady frowned “NO!” and slammed the window shut “forgive him, he’s an idiot”

“He saved my life” I whispered, remembering his warm hand separating me and the betraying SeeD. “I need some rest” I closed my eyes and felt the blanket being pulled over me. Such warmth and comfort, in a house of guardian forces who don’t know how to treat a single human lady normally.

 

I felt a small shock of pain run through my body again, and I opened my eyes. I found the most horrifyingly ugly face in the world, with black hair pulled backwards in a tiny pony tail and a strange fuzzy collar.

“She iz awake! Ztart ze experemint!”

“NO DON’T!” a familiar male voice yelled, only to be drowned in the sound of painful energy raking through my weak frame.. And I fell into blackness again..

A/N: *evil grin* watcha think? I’m gonna change the genre romance/drama into romance/humor. Drama isn’t really fit for this kinda story, especially when Gimme-cat is involved.

BTW, Gimme-cat is a sprite from FF9 who asks you for orbs and then run away laughing at you, which is also known as, stealing!
