| Kumori are humans that have dwelt on the Plane of Shadow since almost the creation of the human race. They have adapted fully to life on that plane and have difficulty on other planes. Personality: Kumori are just as ambitious as humans, but they have lost some of the adaptability of normal humans. They are flexible in their lifestyles. Physical Description: Kumori have pitch black skin that seems to absorb a little of the light around them. Their hair is dark shades of blue, red, purple, or black, while their eyes are gray with white pupils. Their appearance is otherwise as widely varied as humans. They live just as long as humans and have the same proportions, but they are noticably lighter. Relations: Kumori have fairly neutral relations with most creatures of the Plane of Shadow as a race, but individual nations have varying realtions with these creatures. They otherwise have limited contact with standard races, but tend to have similar views as humans of their alignment, though they have no stigma of shadows and darkness being related to evil. Alignment: Kumori have no alignment tendencies like their human counterparts. Kumori Lands: Kumori have various isolated nations on the Plane of Shadow, but they are generally unknown to those from other planes, since detailed exploration of the plane is near impossible to most creatures. Religion: Kumori are as widely varied as humans in their religious practices, but tend to shy away from deities of light and sun. Language: Kumori speak a strange dialect of Common known as Shadow Common, it allows communication of basic needs and ideas with those who speak Common, but does not allow for detailed or in depth discussion. They tend to learn languages that are common to those they encounter if they do leave the Plane of Shadow. Names: Kumori have names that are generally human, but they generally have a slight variation and some are unique to the Shadow Common language. They do not tend to translate their Shadow Common names into Common if they have one. Adventurers: Kumori that adventure tend to stick to the Plane of Shadow, but there are increasing numbers that return to the Material Plane to mingle or compete with their human "cousins." Medium Humanoid (Extraplanar, Human) STR-2, DEX+2 30 ft. base land speed Dark Sight (EX): Kumori can see darkness as other creatures see light, but they see light as other creatures see darkness, effects that grant low-light vision instead grant bright-light vision (doubles range of darkness and shadowy illumination) and effects that grant darkvision instead grant lightvision (able to see in black and white in brightly lit areas). Lightvision 60ft.
