Personality:  Hebi-Urufus are honorable tribal warriors.  They have little ambition to control more than they need, but are quick to take a chance at glory on the battlefield, making other races perseve them to be hot-headed, though in reality they are quite calm in battle and just a little rowdy and boistrous outside of battle.  They are divided into four major tribes:  Cobra, Viper, Salamander, and Boa.

Physical Description:  Hebi-Urufus are essentially the hybrid form of a human werewolf on the tail of a serpent.  They are physically powerful and agile.  They have tails that are approximately their height in length.  Their imposing presence often turns would be opponents away from battle.  Some Hebi-Urufus have a poisonous bite and are refered to as Dokuja-Urufus (see below standard entry).  They are most common amongst the Viper and Cobra tribes, but they also are seen in the Salamander and Boa tribes.

Relations:  Hebi-Urufus consider most nonevil races to be friendly if a little weak and frail.  They generally judge an individual's worth on their combat prowess and therefore often find others lacking.

Alignment:  Hebi-Urufus tend towards Lawful Neutral with almost evil individuals being almost unheard of.

Lands:  Hebi-Urufus live in sub-tropical jungles and forests in tribes and make little claim to actual lands.  Though the race as a whole lays claim to various ancient temples and sacred sites.

Religion:  Hebi-Urufus generally worship deities of strenght and nature.

Language:  Hebi-Urufus speak Common and Slyvan as well as being able to communicate with canines and serpents.  They often pick up ancient, elemental, and primitive languages.

Names:  Hebi-Urufus often name their children after predatory animals with some sort of adjective attached.  When a Hebi-Urufu comes of age, they pick their own animal and are given an adjective by their tribe.  The adjective is often flattering if they do not pick an animal whose associations exceede their own skills, while one who picks an overly flattering animal often recieves a derogatory adjective.  In such a way they promote humility.  One's name is often a quick way of determining where one stands within the tribes, so there is incentive to pick as powerful and skillful an animal as one can without incurring the wrath of the tribe.  These distinctions are generally lost on outsiders.

Adventurers:  Hebi-Urufus are natural hunters and this leads many who contact the outside world to leave in hopes of glorious adventures.  Those who find adventure often excel and can be found in various adventuring groups.
