Burukaji are a wandering race of shrewd traders and charismatic thieves. They travel the world in gaudy caravans in search of wealth and pleasure.

Personality: Burukaji are wanderers and have a gypsy-like lifstyle. They travel about in extended family groups or small multi-family groups that are usually no more than four extended families. Individuals who leave these groups seldom settle in any one place for very long with some of the most settled having homes in multiple cities that they travel back and forth to when they get bored of where they are. They are very curious and playful and often cause mischief as a byproduct of their actions.

Physical Description: Burukaji are a small exotic human-like race with bat-like wings. They have skin in blue or purple tones, eyes that are blue, black or green, and hair that is blue, green, purple, black, or white. They wear sparse, but elegant clothing that most often barely serves the purpose of decency. They range from about three and a half feet tall to about four and a half feet tall with males almost imperceptibly taller and a little heavier than females. They are long lived, maturing around age 60 and commonly living to be over four hundred years old.

Relations: Burukaji get along well with most races, though they are often closely watched by authority. They get along best with gnomes and elves.

Alignment: Burukaji tend towards chaotic neutral, though they abhor evil in general, they simply don't do anything about it unless it readily affects them. They are more strongly chaotic than neutral and there are a fair number of good Burukaji. They are as seldom evil as they are lawful.

Burukaji Lands: Burukaji are wanderers and therefore have no lands of their own, though there are some small settlements at places where Burukaji caravans often stop and cross paths.

Religion: Burukaji almost all worship Olidamarra and he is practically their racial deity, though he really doesn't have the interest in looking out for the interests of a race. They are surprisingly pious for a chaotic race and most families have a cleric or adept that pay homage to Olidamarra.

Language: Burukaji speak common since it is so universal and their own secret Burukaji language plus they typically pick up the languages of those they encounter in their travels.

Names: Burukaji often give their children names that are similar to the names of legendary figures in the past. They also have a name in Burukaji that is spoken only amongst themselves.

Adventurers: Adventuring is not exactly encouraged, but only great adventurers can earn the highest respect of their kin. Burukaji that adventure tend to drift towards a good alignment, but have a knack for acquiring more than their fair share.
