Sigma Alpha Iota,
Epsilon Zeta Chapter
Laura Saenz
Laura serves as the President for the Epsilon Chapter. The daughter of two successful musicians, Laura Odette Senz has been an avid lover of the creative arts, especially music, drama, and dance, all her life.

Born and raised in New York City, she began dance classes at the tender age of four.  These were followed by classical piano and flute, along with drama, and voice.  While in elementary school she appeared in several musical theater productions.

At twelve, she was chosen for the Children's Television Workshop's "Streetlevel" pilot.

At the age of fourteen, Laura auditioned for the highly selective and prestigious Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts (the "Fame" school), in New York City, and was accepted in three departments: vocal music, instrumental music, and drama.  At this institution Laura was the youngest of four students selected to film the Fox Family Channel's "The Real Fame School" pilot.  This was followed by appearances as the host of several episodes of A&E Television Network's "Biography for Kids", as well as "Kid's Day at A&E".  She made her Carnegie Hall debut in March of 2002 with LaGuardia's Senior Chorus.  Her Lincoln Center debut took place in May of 2002, performing the role of Oberto in Handel's "Alcina".  She has also played lead roles in several ballet productions, as well as performing solos in such classical works as Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana.

Laura is presently studying classical vocal performance at The Boston Conservatory.  She is also studying jazz piano technique privately with Jeff Covell, a Berklee College of Music faculty member.  She has also studied voice privately with Patti Dunham, Kurt Peterson, and Conchita Antuano, classical piano technique with Rita Boyarskaya, ballet, tap, and jazz dancing with Mary Angello, and modern dance with Imelda Manfredi.

She would like to thank all of her wonderful teachers, her family, and many friends for helping her achieve her goals (so far!).  She sends her love to her big sis Shondra and all her Epsilon Zeta sisters!!
