| Kristy Chambrelli has directed and participated in concerts and
performances throughout the Eastern United States. Ms. Chambrelli has directed the Audubon Arts Summer Program at the Neighborhood Music School since 2000. She has served in the past as a director, choreographer, music director, producer, and writer along with teaching art and voice in the program. She is serving her second season as an Artistic Advisor to the summer program and will be Executive Producing as well. Her productions for this summer include Oklahoma and West Side Story. Since moving to Florida, Ms. Chambrelli has been Assistant Directing the 50th Anniversary Production of Carlisle Floyd�s Susannah. She is currently preparing a new production of Little Red�s Most Unusual Day which will tour as an Opera Outreach program in early 2006. Also in Florida this year, she will be serving as Stage Manager for the upcoming production of Giulio Cesare in Spring 2006. Spring of 2005, Ms. Chambrelli mounted a production of Witch Wife: A Requiem for Susanna Martin for Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is scheduled to return there Fall 2006 to direct Sweeney Todd. Also during the 2004-2005 School year she directed the Musical Theatre Scenes Program in the Fall and The Secret Garden in the Spring for New England Conservatory Light Opera Company. An avid performer her credits include: Filipyevna from Eugene Onegin , Third Lady from The Magic Flute , Miss Todd from Old Maid and the Thief, Ursule from B�atrice et B�n�dict and Dorabella from Cosi Fan Tutte at The Boston Conservatory. She was also seen as the Second Witch and Dido (cover) in Dido and Aeneas with The Educational Center for the Arts in New Haven, CT and as the Duchess of Plaza-Toro in The Gondoliers with The Boston Conservatory Opera Theater. Equally at home on the concert stage, Ms. Chambrelli was a soloist in the Gilbert and Sullivan Revue singing Lady Jane in Patience and a member of the Chamber Chorus singing Poulenc�s Le Petit Voix . She was also a featured soloist at the Benjamin Britten Concert. She recently sang a solo recital which included the Boston Premier of a Zemlinsky cycle. She has completed her BM in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory and is currently studying at the Florida State University School of Music as a MM in Opera Directing candidate. |
