Beth Grzegorzewski
Beth was raised in Stockholm, NJ, where she has two brothers, two sister-in-laws, two nieces, a nephew, another one on the way, a fantastic eclectic mother and father, a step-father, an extensive group of step-brothers, and a great family of in-laws. Theatre, music, and art have always been an integral part of her life and educational experience, beginning with the role of Mrs. Claus in her kindergarten school play. Grammar school provided a wealth of musical and art experience. After then surviving a tumultuous four years of high school, she moved to Rhode Island and attended Salve Regina University as she worked towards a BM in voice and a BFA in drawing and painting. She then moved to Georgia and attained her BM in vocal performance at Georgia State University. Beth married her high school friend Joshua three months after graduation, and worked for an additional two years. She moved to the greater Boston area in August of 2002 and began her program towards a MM in opera performance at the Boston Conservatory. Beth has a diverse personality perhaps well-represented by her breadth of employment. At age 13, Beth joined her fathers family deli business and helped make some of the best sandwiches and salads anywhere. She continued to work there during high school and on summer and holiday breaks, besides taking other jobs as well. She has worked throughout her college education and beyond as a babysitter, hostess and server, full-time nanny of three children under age five, paper editor and typist, model, opera and theatre set painter, mural painter, high-end frame construction and design, at a picture frame store, as a lifeguard, at the MJCC of Atlanta as a manager of childrens swim programs, as a swim team coach at Shirley Blumenthal Park, as an employee manager, as the overseer of a cheerleading camp, as an assistant manager of a large apartment complex, and as a staff soprano at St. Martin in the Fields Episcopal Church in Atlanta. She has thoroughly enjoyed this diversity of experience. Beth has studied with Julie Beth Andrews, Dwight Coleman, Robert Honeysucker, and currently, Monique Phinney. She is thrilled to be learning to play the harp. She performed the role of Fiametta in Bo Cos February production of The Gondoliers, as well as Suor Isabella in the springs With Blood, With Ink.. She graduated in May 2004. Her husband is extremely supportive, as is her family, and everyone is looking forward to discovering where life will lead them in the future.
