Amy Lawrence
Amy Lawrence proudly serves as the Editor of the Epsilon Zeta chapter and is the creator and editor of this website. She is currently in her senior year as a vocal performance major with an emphasis in opera. Amy has also been studying the flute for 11 years and ballet for 7 years.

Amy hails from Pasadena, CA. She started her music studies at age 9 when she joined The
Los Angeles Children's Chorus(LACC), a community group that collaborates with such prestigious musical organizations as LA Opera, LA Master Chorale, and The LA Philharmonic. During this same time Amy took up the flute and was placed in her high school band when she was in the 4th grade.This encouraged her to further develop her music skills. She went to summer programs at the Colburn School '99, Interlochen Arts Camp �97,�98,�00, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute '01.She also attended the Lake Placid Institute's 2 week Flute Seminar. Through LACC, Amy was given the opportunity to perform with LA Opera in the premiere of Tobias Picker's Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Amy was accepted into the
LA County HS for the Arts where she double majored in flute and voice performance. She participated in the opera, orchestra, and musical theatre ensembles and performed in major productions such as Carousel, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Tales of Hoffman,Orpheus in the Underworld, and The Beggars Opera, among others.

At the The Boston Conservatory Amy performs with the BoCo Chorale and the Opera Studio. She has performed such roles as Queen Tye in
Ahknaten by Philip Glass and Cis in Britton's Albert Herring.

Amy was a National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts, ARTS Week 2002 Participant in Classical Voice, and was a Presidential Scholar in the Arts Finalist ('02).

Amy would like to some day be part of a prestigious ensemble whether it be in an orchestra, choir, or opera company. Music has always been her passion and has been central to her life goals.
