In 1937, a group of girls in Murray State University's music department, along with Price Doyle, investigated the possibility of establishing a women's music organization. Sigma Alpha Iota was chosen. On February 3, 1939 the Iota Beta chapter was installed. Since then, we have become highly involved in many music activities on campus, including hosting All Campus Sing, Athena Festival, and co-producing Campus Lights. |
