Meena Kumari was alone most of the time after her divorce with Kamal Amrohi and poetry was her only escape. She wrote beautiful poetry. She also recorded some of her poetry in an album called "I write I recite". She used to write with the penname of Meena Kumari 'Naaz'.And she is no mean poet. Meena Kumari was also a good poet in her own right who wrote urdu shairy under the pen name 'Naaz'. Openly ans beautifully expressing the wounds. Meena Kumari's poetry is known to be full of melancholy, pain and sadness. She liked pain and lived into it. However, she had a high feeling for the romantic and she could feel the romantic in many moments.Meena Kumari was perhaps one of the most beautiful and talented personalities to happen to the Indian film industry. |
