Creating
Cascading Menu for Internet
Cache Files
|
Every time we
type in a URL (Internet address) in
Internet Explorer's Address Box and
visit that web site, it adds that
entry to its URL History list. It
also adds all the graphics and sound
files, the text from the web site to
our hard drive in the area known as
the Internet Cache. Did we ever want
to see what's in that folder without
navigating through the layers of
folders in Windows 98? Here's how we
can make a cascading menu for all
those temporary files and place it
on your Start Menu.
1 - Right
click the Start button and chose
Explore from the menu.
2 - Right
click in any empty space in the
right hand pane and select
New/Folder
3 - Type
Internet
Cache.{7BD29E00-76C1-11CF-9DD0-00A0C9034933}
to replace
the words "New Folder"
4 - Press
Enter.
Click the
Start button and choose Internet
Cache icon, and in a few seconds, we
see a list of the files in our
cache.
