| September 19-23, 2002. For my 21st birthday, I decided to be brave and go on a solo vacation in some foreign country. It was like, "Look out world -- Karla's actually 21!" This means a lot of things but mostly, it meant that I can finally legally enjoy liquor and dispose off my fake ID which I have shamelessly abused for almost a year. I posted a poll at work - and surprisingly, Jamaica was knocked off the list almost instantly. They didn't want me wandering on my own in this supposedly 'unsafe-for-a-single-girl' island.
