Standing in a hall of mirrors
Lonely and hollow eyed
Images appear to play out
A Friendship long ago denied.

In the brightness, in your absence
As in the darkest corners of my mind
Waits a puzzled soul in silence
Deserted, crushed by love denied.

In the fickle fortunes of fate
In the haunted mirrors you will see
Clear and defined the one reflection
Of the innocent that was me
