ONE TRUTH

THE DAWN by Sandra Osborne
ONE TRUTH

Remembering your dear face – I live
With a hope that cracks open the door of distance
And stays the slow death of separation
That undermines the body and the spirit.

It is very hard indeed to dwell on you
Without a hunger that consumes all
In a searing, screaming pain
That no one hears.
The mind is blown apart
The heart is torn
Yet love does not die
So, no reason to mourn.

Like a phoenix
Everyday I rise from the ashes of our friendship
Whole and new with a love profound
To begin anew the cycle of my karma
Living, loving and dying
Every moment of each day for you.

The journey to a distant love
Is long, lonely and unchartered
The quest daunting, the ways diverse.
Someday along the path, I pray, a wonderful surprise
Should there be a dignified and mature meeting of minds
Or a mutual explosion of primeval passion
Merging, submerging and bursting thru
The bottled up desires and emotions
That leaves one speechless.

They say pain leads to gain
Perhaps then we are not children of a lesser god
But a God capable of generosity
To make manifest his glory that lies within us
In an underlying process
That permeates all space and time
Unifying us into a single entity
In thoughts, words and deeds
A consciousness that is inseparable
Utterly bespoken, liberating
And directly engaging in our own evolution.

Perhaps one day we will make a path
And not just follow one
When we set aside all our tasks
And listen to the spiritual silence
Hear what desperately tugs at our very soul
Is it the quantum world
Or is it love that is calling?

Take time out to understand
That every word that is penned is meant
And even the most averse to the written word
Must reach out
For this is how relationships work
In ragas and raginis and in hymns are praises sung
Where melodies are countless
And rhythm reverberates the living soul.
Dear beloved, awake and sing my virtues manifold in return
Then in peace and contentment will I live
The hunger for reciprocity stayed
The love enriched, made whole.

As you will, so must I live
Let it be that remembrance is not which you seek
But my face, my voice, my living breathing, body and soul
Just as I worship thee with the most intense delight
So let a similar light shine within you tonight.

The tragedy is not in loves’ mortality
But the unwillingness to explore
The outer regions of this madness
That intelligent people want all the more.

Love is never easy or perfect
Just deeply personal, provocative, passionate.
Its when ordinary people make magic
Thru their extraordinary lives.

When the all powerful self is abandoned
Its an earthly trip to paradise
Where happiness is measured at the altar of self control.

In the end there is just one truth… Love
And the fact that you will live and breathe easier
Happy and fulfilled
Because the other has lived.
