REINCARNATION – AND OVER-POPULATION
MY MAIN PHILOSOPHY IN LIFE: Everything that comes your way is a lesson. You can either let those knocks in life teach you and make you stronger and wiser, or you can let them knock you down and get you down.
I prefer to grow stronger!!!!
Someone asked me the other day what path I follow.
This got me thinking… for I cannot say.
I have my own unique beliefs and do not know if they actually belong to a path.. or if I follow my own path!
The best way I can explain my beliefs is by quoting some of the “Basic Principles Of The Craft” Ergo:
“We know that everything in the universe is in movement or vibration and is a function of that vibration. Everything vibrates; all things rise and fall in a tidal system that reflects the motion inherent in the universe and also in the atom. Matter and energy are but two poles of one continuous phenomenon. Therefore, the Witch celebrates, harmonizes with and makes use of the tides of the universe and of life as expressed through the cycle of the seasons and the motion of the solar system. These ritual observances are the eight great Festivals of the Year, referred to as the Wheel of the Year. The Witch works with the forces and tides of the Moon, for this body is the mediator of much energy to our planet Earth and thus to ourselves.
Nothing is dead matter in the universe. All things exist therefore all things live, though perhaps in a different manner from that which we are used to calling life. In view of this, the Witch knows that there is no true death, only change from one condition to another…..“Because of this principle, all things are sacred to the Witch, for all partake of the one Life. Therefore the Witch is a natural ecologist, for Nature is part of us as we are a part of Nature……A Witch refuses to allow him/herself to be corrupted by the great guilt neuroses which have been foisted on humanity in the name of the Divine, thus freeing the self of the slavery of the mind. The Witch expresses responsibility for his/her actions and accepts the consequences of them; guilt is rejected as inhibiting to one's self-actualization and replaced by the efforts of the Witch to obey the teachings of harmlessness, responsibility for the consequences of one's actions, and the goal of actualizing the full powers of the individual. We refuse to believe that a human being is born innately sinful and recognize the the concepts of sin and guilt are tremendously inhibiting to the human potential; the consequences of the Law of Cause and Effect which is called karma by some, are not punishment but the recurrences of situations and their effects because the individual as not gained the Wisdom needed to handle or avoid such situations.
There is no heaven except that which we ourselves make of our life on Earth and likewise there is no hell except the effects of our unwise actions. Death is not followed by punishment or reward but by life and the continuing evolution of the human potential. One cannot damn the divine in oneself; one can however, cut oneself off from it through the rejection of wisdom and a refusal to strive for self-realization. This cutting off does not lead to personal suffering in 'hell', for there is no Self to suffer if the tie to one's own divinity has been severed; what remains is merely an empty shell, a 'personality' or thought-form devoid of it's ensouling Spark of the Divine Fire. We know of the existence of the life-force which ensouls all living things that is, all that exists. We know that a spark of this Divine Fire is within each and every thing that exists and that it does not die; only the form of it's existence changes. We know that this spark of the life-force returns to manifestation again and again in order to fully realize and actualize it's potential, evolving finally to the peak and essence of existence which is pure being…..Harmony with and utilization of, the great natural forces of the universe is called magick. By magick we speak not of the supernatural but of the superbly natural, but whose laws and applications are not as yet recognized by the scientific establishment. The Witch must strive to recognize these forces, learn their laws, attune him/herself to them and make use of them. The Witch must also be aware that power corrupts when used 'only' for the gains of the self and therefore must strive to serve humanity: Either through the service in the Priesthood or by example and effects of his/her life on others. The choice must be made in accord with the true nature of the Witch”.
I have my sacred circle in my garden… right at the front too so the whole neighbourhood can see it… lol, it was the only place I could put it!!! I am there at the full moon and new moon and whenever the moon is in certain phases and signs for any spell/ritual I need to do. I am there at the sabbats… even if I have no idea what to do… (I am a novice you know… lol). (I just sit and meditate on the sabbat and what it means). And perform any rituals relating to the sabbat.
One day I hope to join a group circle, but there are none near me, or any other witches for that matter. So I go it alone. It is lonely out here though. That is why you and my other groups mean so much to me… I don’t feel so Entirely alone!!!
I guess I am Eclectic though: I do Natal Charts, Numerology charts, I ching, Tarot and am presently doing the first course at Coven Born. I am also learning Herbology, aromatherapy and crystalology. (The enchanted garden has helped a lot in many of these fields… thank you)!!!
I am hoping to further myself and study reiki at a later stage. All this I teach myself as I cannot afford colleges. (To do a course in reflexology and aromatherapy will cost me R5000.00.. ACK!) I will find other things to study, of that I am sure… that’s just me!!!
I always said: If I could afford it I would be a professional student… and live in higher learning institutions… must be the fact that I am a Sagittarian!!!!
(All this between home schooling three children and trying to set up and run three businesses (and am the housewife in a household of 7 people and 4 dogs, none of who lifts a finger (or paw lol) to help) … makes my days, and most my nights, rather full…)
Anyway, this is my path.. so what am I?
Magic is not really supernatural but extra-natural. For all magic really is is the manipulation of the atoms and molecules around us. The fact of the matter is: if a witch/wiccan/pagan etc were to perform magic in a fully equipped science lab, (spectrometer, EEG etc), a scientist/physicist would be able to analyze all that was done and present documented scientific proof that could explain everything that had occurred.
After all, what is magic but the manipulation of said atoms/molecules by vibration, Vibration of colour, sound, light, heat and odour molecules put together to reach the desired affects?
Why Do We Fear Death?
This fear is just a not-knowing. If one does not know or understand something, it can manifest itself as fear.
But What Is Death?
Personally, I believe death is just a transformation from one state to another, from this, the physical form, to a “spiritual” form. The physical body is just a “home” for our essence (soul, spirit, life force… whatever). Once the physical body is destroyed by death we just leave it.
Okay, So Where Do We Go?
We stay here!!! All around us the atmosphere is filled with these essences (souls etc).
Why Cant We See Them?
Look at the wind, the air around us and even our own breath, you can’t see them because the molecular structure is loosely linked. So it is with our life essences. We move out of this, the physical plane, into a “spiritual” plane and only those with the knowledge and/or ability can see them.(often called spiritualists or mediums, or is that medii?)
What Is This Other Plane Or Dimension?
We, the human being, can see in three dimensions, Height, depth and width. There are other dimensions which most of us cannot see but they are there!!! Time is a dimension we cannot see, but we go by it, as is space. We know they are there but we cannot physically see them or manipulate them easily. So is the ‘spiritual’ world another dimension. We cannot see into it unless we are (erroneously called) gifted or Magical.
Personally:
I do not fear death, only the method by which I may leave this plane… and the fact I may go before my children are old enough to look after themselves – These are my only fears concerning death
What images does your mind conjure when you think of childen? Sweet shining faces, cute little voices? Loving little arms wrapped around your neck? Wet sloppy kisses? Laughter? Pattering feet? Proud shining faces after a deed well done?
OR
The smell of sour milk and filled nappies? Sleepless nights? Crying, crying, crying and more crying? Nasty cruel bullies and vicious fights? Whining, yelling, complaining, bickering? Noise, noise, noise……?????
Homo sapiens are classified as the worlds most dangerous animal and little homo sapiens as the cruelest!!!
My childhood was one of abject fear and terror.. I was shy and ceaselessly bullied! Now I have 4 squalling brats of my own!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am I a sucker for punishment or what???Okay, I’m NOT going to have one of "those" children – Mine are going to be brought up to respect people and nature. They are taught that cruelty is a no-no, not even to plants and animals. They are taught to love their fellow man and try to understand them and react kindly to their faults and wrong doings. Compassion, care, love, respect, understanding, developing all the ‘good’ traits has been my aim.
No, my children are NOT going to be one of ‘those’ – right???

A collection of cells makes up tissues, A collection of tissues makes organs, A collection of organs make an entity… So it is with Gaia. We are just a cell in the whole.We are each a separate entity, yet we are one.As each cell in our body is unique, so are we each a unique being. But we all, collectively, make up a oneness.Each blade of grass, each leaf, each animal down to the stone and the grain of sand on the beach are all part of the one.Just as a faulty organ in an entity can have repercussions on the whole entity, so it is with our interaction with the other particles of The Whole. Everything we do, everything we are, affects the whole.

Someone once told me that marriage, for the woman, is just legalized prostitution – a man gets his fun and a woman is "paid" for her services with a home , food, clothes, pocket money etc.
Now, I’ve never been married but have been living with my partner for 8 years and 3 of my 4 children are his (whom he largely ignores). We battle financially and I have not had my "payment" of a home – We’ve moved so much that I feel like a nomad. All my clothes are second hand from welfare association etc. Food is always the "cheapest" and more often than not mince and rice or spuds… Pocket money is non-existent – even if we can afford it he would NEVER give it to me anyway!!! He handles all the money, does all the shopping (I am never invited). He cannot handle money but HAS to control it. (One reason we are always poor). Thus we are always broke and always on the move because cigarettes and other luxuries are more important than rent and utilities. I homeschool my 3 younger kids, (my choice), do the housework, assist him with his business and what do I get in return?
Nothing except abuse, (emotional), bullying and cruelty. He doesn’t want me to get a drivers license as then I WILL be galavanting and NEVER at home when HE NEEDS ME!!! (The ego of the man is incredible). He is his first priority and his family come rather low down on the list. He has to control all we do. And all we do has to be when and how HE says, or not at all ( his own words)!!!!!
No, I disagree with my friend…. Marriage is not legalized prostitution, it is legalized........... SLAVERY!!!!!!
REINCARNATION – AND OVER-POPULATION
The belief we leave our present physical bodies only to return as physical beings, over and over, until such time as we reach "oneness"/"nirvana" etc. Now, the world is becoming increasingly over-populated each year until such time s earth can no longer sustain humanity. So where do all these souls (now in physical form) come from? Belief is that we have always been and always will be. Then this means that all the souls have been around since the beginning of time. If they have been round from the beginning of time, this means that the number of souls is constant. So why are they all taking on physical form all at the same time? Why don’t they take on human form in an orderly manner so that earth remains at optimum population? Are they all taking physical form for a reason? Is there about to be a great revolution on this planet? Maybe a spiritual revolution? After all: The paths of the ancient ones have taken a full circle. From once (long, long ago) being the ONLY paths (paganism) of old (until crushed by Christianity et al) and now coming back to light – everywhere you look the ancient paths are re-emerging. Is this why the souls are flocking back to earth? Have we come full circle?
Life is NOT a bitch – Bitches are (normally) lovely creatures. We have two of them – a cross Pitbull/Labrador and a cross Chow – both exceptional bitches – and I would not insult them by calling this travesty of life a bitch!!!
Life is just pure hell – even for so-called happy people.
You are born, you live, (+- 80 years), you die – Why???
1) To take care of this planet? Weeeeelll, we haven’t done too well there have we?
2) To Procreate? On an already overpopulated planet?
3) To make a difference? Huh? What? 1 person amongst billions along a time-line of billions and billions of years (past, present and future) –what are the odds of making a difference? 1 in one billion, billion, billion recurring?
So we plod along, sad, miserable and philosophise and ponder…..
….. and still no answers come.
SO: I’ve had an idea….
I’m going to so my duty to my children, see them grow and settled, and then I am going to crogenise myself….. to be woken up for a month or so every 100 years. I’ll then write a history of each century and then go back ‘to sleep’ for the next 100 years.
Now I CAN make a difference – and will be remembered, through all time, as the eternal mortal who awakens from divine sleep every 100 years. Who knows, maybe they’ll make a cult out of me!!!!!
Now wouldn’t that be fun?
It is said that Homo-Sapiens are the most viscious, cruel, violent, destructive and dangerous creatures on this planet. We are an angry, bullying, war-mongering, heartless, unfeeling species as a whole. Science has not been able to change this…. Yet!
But we are getting there, via Genetic Manipulation.
Take the kindness of Mother Theresa, the gentleness of Ghandi, the brilliance of Einstein, the energy of Marie Curie, the tenacity of many scientists, the foresightedness of Leonardo De Vinci, the perception of Nostradamus and the honesty of George Washington…. Blend them together with the physical genes of Cleopatra, Helen Of Troy and Arnold Shwarzenegger and VOILA! The perfect person. Oh, and an a-sexual person!!!
So lets get to it…. Get those genes and let us begin!!!
This is what I would be married to:
1) You will worship me and only me
2) You will obey me and only me
3) If you do ALL I say, you will be rewarded, if you don’t – there will be hell to pay.
4) You will not consort/make friends with people I deem undesirable.
5) When I tell you to do something you will do it and you will do it EXACTLY how, where and when I tell you to do it.
6) Do exactly as I say and I will be a good husband, disobey and I will be the devil incarnate!!!
7) I am a jealous husband
8) As long as you behave I will love you but disobey and I will not know you until you beg for forgiveness and pay for your sins.
9) I gave you free will – but there are conditions (see 1,2,4,5 above).
10) I made you. You are mine. I can do what I want with you, even drown you, or burn you to death….
Legally, if I were married to a man like this, I could sue him and lay charges against him for emotional and psychological abuse.
It was brought up a short while ago that the word Witch or Wicca has such negative connotations that maybe we should change what we call ourselves to be more ‘user friendly’ to the public.
After a little thought I came to the following conclusions:
1) I like the word! Maybe because I am a controversial type.
2) A Witch is someone who deals with the meta-physical, or supra-physical, and that is what I am (trying) to do.
I prefer to stay a Witch. I also feel that we should not change what we call ourselves for the publics convenience but rather change the publics view of us by educating and enlightening them.
This, to me, is what Pagan Freedom Day will be doing for us. (As well as having a fun celebration, of course J).
So, a Witch is what I call myself, and a Witch is what I will stay.
Now please excuse me as I hop onto my Vacuum Cleaner, (I AM a modern witch, y’know), catch a few bats on the way, say hello to a few toads (sorry Paul but you really shouldn’t P*** off a witch, y’know), and make my way home, light the fire, clean the cauldron and start supper for the family. (Now where did I put the Bats wings again)?
