Life
version 1.0 |
Oct 12/2002 |
Java |
Yes |
This is the game of Life. I went to visit my buddies at school, sat in during a Java programming class and the teacher gave out homework assignments near the end. Handed out the sheet of paper explaining this game and what it should do and all that. He gave me a sheet, and it looked easy enough so i did it. What it is, is a grid of buttons and you click on a few to populate them. 1 person per button. Then you click the run button, and it will go through the grid and check every button. If there is the right amount of people surrounding that button, it will become populated. If too many or too few people surround it, it will not be populated and any person on it will die. Was pretty easy even though i hadnt touched Java in nearly a year.

Tetris
version 1.2.3 |
Dec 8/2000 |
Visual Basic 6.0 |
Yes |
I made this Tetris clone in VB cuz i can. It has decent graphics for a cheap game, midi background music and plays wavs for sound effects. Like all VB programs it is Windows based and requires the Visual Basic 6 runtime files. Search Download.com for them. Go to my VB Tetris page to see a picture of this game in action.

Vending Machine
version 1.0 |
Aug 13/2002 |
Borland C++ |
Yes |
This was a final project for my C++ class. Simple stuff, just made a vending machine. Mine is a bit better then most people in the class. I had an editable inventory (mostly because i couldnt think of enough stuff to put in on my own). Its DOS based so no fancy graphics. Text only. There is a minor issue, when you put in 2 bucks to start it will show as 20. Oops. So its not a game, neither is Life. But its here. Live with it.

Caspin
version 0.0.1 |
Nov 26/2002 |
C++ DirectX 8 |
No |
Just a simple spinny thing. A bunch of cubes put together to make the word 'CAS' and it spins. It generates a log.txt that shows fps and such.

TetrisDX
version 0.0.1 |
Dec 15/2002 |
C++ DirectX 8 |
No |
This was my first venture into DirectX programming. Sadly, the source code was lost in a formatting incident. I will have to start from scratch. 2 images are included that were supposed to be the skins for the game but i dont know if they got implemented. When I get a chance I will start over. This will generate a log.txt file that will tell you the framerate and a few other things. Just incase you wonder where that file came from.

.NET Test
version 0.0.1 |
Nov 26/2002 |
Visual Basic .NET |
No |
All this does is pop up a form, with 2 buttons. You press a button and a message comes up. It was just a test to see if .NET programs work on a computer. Wether that is accurate or not is beyond my cares.

April 13/2000 |
QBasic |
Yes |
This edits nesticle savestates for Final Fantasy 2. This was programmed in QBasic using the source code to SquareHead01's FF2 editor. I did change
'most' of the code and its also included in the download in case you want to do somthing or if i lose my copy. Go find yourself the original to see how much i changed, incase you think i just ripped off his code and am a cheap lame. This is the first savestate editor i made, and this is what got me interested in this stuff. |
Inindo:Way of the Ninja Savestate editor
version 1.01 |
March 1/2003 |
C++ |
No |
This is my first big C++/win32 gui program. It was big, took a while to hack and there were still a few things I am not completely satisfied with, but here it is. It works. The only thing i didnt like is when you edit a province to be under a new ruler, the graphic on the map(in game) doesnt change. Im not sure what this means, other then I didnt find out how that was saved. |

YEAH!!! I fixed the bug. This splitter program lets you split files
to whatever size you want AND join them back together too! |
Casplit WIN
Version 1.0 |
Nov 4/2000 |
Visual Basic 6.0 |
Yes |
The Windows version of my filesplitter. Just a little bit slower thanks to Visual Basics sucktitude |
Casplit WIN 2.0
Version 2.0 |
Oct 13/2002 |
Visual Basic 6.0 |
No |
The Windows version of my filesplitter. Much faster then the previous, but it doesnt join anymore. To join files it makes a .bat file that will join them on any DOS OS. Perhaps Unix or something has a function similar to copy /b that can be used instead. In fact, i believe it does. $ cat * >destination where * is the files (not including the .bat i hope). You can just do $ cat file1 file2 file3 > file4 to join the first 3 files into file 4. And there is our Unix lesson for today. The files should be in alphabetical order, so * would work in theory. Just as long as no other files are in the dir. You Unix wiz's can figure this out anyways :P |
NesComp
version 1.5 |
May 23/2000 |
QBasic |
No |
This will compare 2 files and give out the differences in them. You can choose a few different ways to do searchs. Exact where you enter 2 numbers, 1 for seach file, and when it finds an address where the numbers match it outputs to a file. Difference where it just outputs the differences in the file. Zero where you enter a number for 1 file and it outputs the address if the other file doesnt match. This is called Zero because i used it to search for address's not equal to zero. I made it up so i can call it waht i like.

NesCompWin
version 1.0.0 |
Dec 16/2000 |
Visual Basic 6.0 |
Yes |
Windows version of NesComp better GUI and easier to use. Most likely slower due to it being written in Visual Basic although if you compare smaller files, such as nesticle savestates, the speed difference is nothing compared to time saved with the new interface.
|
NesComp++
version 0.96 |
Jan 24/2004 |
C/C++ 7.1 |
Yes |
NesCOMP coded with C/C++. BETTER THEN EVER. Super fast thanks to some file buffering and such. Source included, has a neat icon and a readme type file. And a progress bar!! A real one too, enjoy it cuz it added a few K to the overall size. :(
