| Kat is the second child of Ariadne and Paraclelsus Hobbes, Born two years after their son, Nicholas Flamel Hobbes. Ariadne, nee Chantly was the daughter of the renowned druidess Cliona while Paracelsus was a descendent of Morgana le Fay. he was brought us in a sect of dark magicians, involved in a war with the druids. Paracelsus did not agree with the evil majic practiced and left the sect to marry a half druid girl. they had four happy years together before their brutal murder at the hands of Paracelsus' brother, Priam. He planned to destroy their childern too but found himself unable to kill the two young childen. He adopted Nick and Kat was left to her Grandmother's care and so was brought up in the old druidic ways. Nick and Kat comunicated through a link established by their parents sacrifice, the ability to see and travel into each others' mind. at the age of ten, it was decided that Katriana should have a proper majical upbringing an was sent to Aelfrics. Before leaving, she was told her parents true fate and tried to tell nick what their Uncle had done. He was getting more and more deeply involved with the dark arts and refused to believe her. They had a falling out. and in her temper, Kat closed her mind to Nick, leaving him with no way to communicate with her and angering him more. Kat exceeded at Aelfrics but left after some unpleasantness after turning a prefect into a slug. Her education was cut short by two years but she was concidered qualified enough to be accepted at weirdsister college, where she met her brother for the first ime in six years. it was a shock to both to see the other, Nick especially as Kat had been told of his presence on her way to Weirdsister. Dispite an early argument, their relationship seems to be on track but there will be quite a few fights in store. Kat also has a golden Cat named Circe who has the ability to see a persons soul. She was a gift from Kat's grandmother when she left for Aelfrics and is extremely powerful, being blessed by viellemagus. |
