"The Everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-famous-cats"
Webpage
Cats come in all shapes and sizes.  They range in colour, size,  weight and strength.  From the smallest kitten to the Siberian Tiger who can weigh over 500 pounds and can be over 12 feet in length. (unlike hobbes here)
Famous Cat Expressions
There are some phrases that people use everyday!! ones like: cat fight,  pussyfoot,  whole Kitten kaboodle! People play  cat's Cradle. If your good at keeping secrets you don't let the  cat out of the bag! Sour puss and scaredy  cat are two of my favorite epressions!  There are others too! Like catty, and the  cat's Pajamas.  you look like the  cat that swallowed the canary. There's enough room in here to swing a  cat!!!
Famous Cats:
Some of the most famous people are cats!!!  Like Dinah and the Cheshire cat from "Alice in wonderland" and Katnip - from "Herman and Katnip".  Garfield, felix, Heathcliff and Tom- from "Tom and Jerry"  "puss in boots" Lucifer- from "Disney's Cinderella" and the Aristocats.  Salem- Sabrina's cat and Azreal- from "The Smurfs".   Sabastian is Alexandra's cat- from "Josie and the Pussy Cats"(hey there's another one).  Think about it, Hitler, and Napoleon hated cats.  Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it?!? And the list seems to go on and on!!!
Cats in Literature
Throughout history, cats have been the centre of attention.  The salem witch trials, the Bible, old superstition and many other poems and books. "The owl and the pussy cat", the cheshire cat from "Alice in Wonderland", "Puss in Boots",and "Cat's cradle"; just to name a few.  In the Bible the lion was the most regal of beasts and often signified God or Satan.
Superstitious Cats
Old superstition looks it's cold eye down on the black cat and says, "it's bad luck for a black cat to cross your path."   However English superstition say that "it's good luck if a black cat comes to your house... but it's bad luck if he stays."
At the salem witch trials Cats were often looked on as evil or even witches themselves.  People saw them as the carriers of evil charms and spells.  They were called familars and were burned at the stake with their evil mistress
WHAT IS A CAT??

Gentle eyes that see so much,
paws that have the quiet touch
purrs to signal, "all is well."
and show more love than words can tell,
Graceful movements touched with pride
a calming presence by our side
a friendship tha twill last and grow
small wonder why we love them so.
In conclusion:
I find that rather than Dogs being Man's best friend; I'd like to think that cats are!  They're in history and throughout all literature!  so keep in mind that cats are indeed man's best friend!
