| Our two day course is simply a lot of fun as well being educational! You arrive the first day and sit down to a wonderful campstyle breakfast prepared by your instructor and his wife, Marianne. Afterwards, you begin you training to become certified in CPR and Wilderness First Aid. At the end of day one, you will be certified by the America Safety and Health Institute and your cards will be accepted by every federal, state and county nationwide. Also, this certification is accepted by the Department of Labor and O.S.H.A. Then, for the evening meal, you will feast on menu items such as bacon wrapped broiled rainbow trout served up with the days selection of wine, usually a local selection. Afterwards, you will sit by our fire and learn more about survival in the wilderness as your instructor teachs you firemaking. If you choose to overnight at our location, you will retire back to your own individual campsite and afll asleep listening to the sounds of nature. Day two, you are up and make your own wilderness breakfast choosing from a selection of backpack meals made available to you. We provide juice and coffee. Then, you of for a casual, short walk in our georgeous training area Bush Mill, some of the most beatiful territory on the Northern Neck no matter what time of the year. At Bush Mill, you may see bald eagles in their natural habitat, as your guide and survival instructor teaches you the ways of wilderness survival. Your survival walk and training ends around four in the afternoon and you are taken back to the base camp to pack for your return trip home. To the right is a short list of gear you will need to bring. Tents are provided if you do not have your own. |

| Equipment you will need to bring: * Two man tent. No larger, please. * Sleeping appropriate for the time of the year. * Hiking boots or strudy shoes. Our survival walk is not strenous, but footear for good footing is reccommended. * Water is provided. * Water bottle or canteen * Pot for boiling water and eating utensils * Flashlight * Personal hygene items * Matches *Folding blade knife * Insect repellant if weather is to be warm. (Suggest a repellant with deet) * Raingear. Suggest military style poncho. Items not to bring: * Radios * Walkman * Pets * Alcohol * Drugs or narcotics * Cigarettes are allowed. Pipes and cigars are not. |
