I sat at her picture window with her a few evenings later. She had thrown out carrots for them, and we waited. Theres a bunny!!!!!!!!! I thought I would pee my pants I was SO happy to see my baby out there!!! She thought I may scare it away if I tried to go out there, but I just had too, had to let them know I was there, that I had come back to see them. I walked very quietly and slowly, starting to talk softly as I got closer. Calling 'BABYYYY' as I always did, the bunny seemed to know it was me. It kept eating as I knelt right there, and Cindy came up behind me. I could see it was the baby that had a piece of her ear missing, I was so happy to see her doing well. I reached out to touch her, and she let me, I couldnt believe it!!! I stroked her head, just wanting to feel for myself that she indeed was alive and well and real, right there in front of me. All of a sudden she was startled and ran off. As I sat there calling 'BABYYY', another bunny came up behind the log fence!!! I called for him to come thru to me, as he sat there looking at me with a 'is that you??' look to his face. (At least I like to think sweet things like that) He came out, and I realized it was my second bully boy!! He had the knick in his ear that I could plainly see. Those two bunnies took turns running out for a bit, one would come back and the other would take back off for a bit, but it was so wonderful to see them and touch them again. A few days later I went back out again, taking more treats for Cindy to keep feeding them. I sat there alone, calling out to them, waiting and hoping. The bunny with the piece missing out of her ear finally came out, so I visited with her for a bit, then the bully came around to visit too. What luck I was having!!!!!!!!! I had thought of Big Boy as I sat there, thinking he was such a big guy that he probably took off somewhere farther away. But as I sat there, I caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye coming from the other direction........... |
