The economic utilization of the abundant bio-mass viz. wheat & rice straw, bagasse, bamboo leaves which are full of cellulose and fibrous in nature, available in the villages, was demonstrated to the backward classes of the village Usfar in district Mathura. A pilot plant developed by the society, was used to demonstrate the process of converting the, otherwise considered waste biomass into more useful products which could be sold in the market. The waste, after its economic utilization, is a good manure. The project was phased over a period of 3 years.
