Scope: AFL'02 will be a continuation of the former "Salgótarján Conferences" initiated by the late Professor István Peák. It focuses on abstract automata, formal languages, and related topics including applications.
Talks: In addition to invited talks by leading experts of the field, submitted papers will be also accepted for presentation. Submissions of abstracts (up to three pages) are to made before April 30, 2002. Electronic submissions are encouraged. Authors will be notified of acceptance by May 15, 2002.
Publication: A proceedings will be published as a supplement of the journal, Publications Mathematicae. All submissions are subject to a normal reviewing process.
Pre-registration: Send an e-mail message to the contact person (see below) before April 30, 2002 if you plan to attend.
Registration and accommodations: Registration will be at the Hotel Aranybika, Debrecen, on August 13, 2002. The registration fee is 150 EURO (ca. 36.500 HUF). A reduced registration fee for PhD students and family members is 75 EURO. The registration fee includes one copy of the Proceedings, an excursion to Hortobágy and the conference dinner. The reduced registration fee also includes the above items with one exception - a copy of the Proceedings for family memmbers is not included. The registration fee does not include the accommodation expenses. Accommodation at the Hotel Aranybika, with a three to four star double or single rooms are available (including a half price hotel accommodation discount). Accommodation fee (including discount): single room ****: 50 EURO/day, double room ****: 32 .5 EURO/day/person, single room ***: 40 EURO/day, double room ***: 25 EURO/day/person.
The number of available four star rooms is strictly limited.
