Vampire Trivia
* Famous stunt pilot Jack Britten performed many of his stunts in a Sadler Vampire. He flew US version #001 with an inverted Rotaz 277 and inverted fuel system. One of his favorite things to do was fly inverted over the
top of a slower UL and wave as he went by.
* Highest reported altitude in a Vampire is 11,000 ft. achieved by stunt pilot Jack Britten.
* The Vampire logo was designed by Bill Sadler and originally based on the Bacardi rum bat logo trademark.
* Vampire serial numbers (#001, #002, etc) were actually magic markered onto an area behind the rear spar.
* According to Mr. Sadler his primary goal in the Vampire design was to create plane that any pilot regardless of skill level could fly safely. "You can of course run it into the ground like any airplane but the Vampire wont come apart on you in flight".
* Pryor to the production of the Vampire Mr. Sadler was a top distributor for Lazair Aircraft. The cost of franchise fees encouraged him to start his own design and production company in 1982. Thus, the original US Sadler Vampire ultralight  was born. 
* Bill Sadler is the original founder of the Light Aircraft Association. 
* Mr. Sadler himself flew the first demonstration flights of the Vampire "Piranha" for a group of military observers.
* Mr. Sadler is better known for his innovative race car and engine  designs than for his advanced aircraft designs.
* The Long-Wing US version Vampire has an astounding 14: 1 glide ratio.
* Stunt pilot Jack Britten flew the black colored US #001 in a sequence for the movie "Sword of Heaven".
