Admissions notice is advertised in all national newspapers, sufficiently before the beginning of the academic session and a last date for the submission of application forms is specified. Therefore prospective applicants should begin their process immediately upon seeing the admission advertisements.
Applicants have to produce documents, as proof of their qualifications, marks certificates in the examinations passed, metric certificates or any other authentic proof of date of birth, recommendation from the head of the Institute last attended or a letter of introduction from a responsible functionary of a University or a department of Education and three passport size photographs. Women candidates may place attested specimen signature on the form in lieu of photographs.
Prescribed Admissions Forms and Prospectus of The University, can be obtained
either on payment of Pak.Rs. 150 in cash at Habib Bank Limited, International
Islamic University Branch or by sending a crossed bank draft of Pak.Rs. 175 in
favor of the University to,
Admissions are made on the recommendations of the respective Admission
Committees after the following
Written Tests in Arabic
and English Languages.
Subject Aptitude Tests.
Oral Interviews, or as may be
specified.
For
Overseas Foreign Students
About 60 percent of admission seats are reserved for overseas foreign candidates, each year. The detailed procedure for the admission of overseas candidates is prescribed below.
Candidates applying from
outside Pakistan shall fill- the application form alongwith the clearance
proforma and computer proforma. The application form shall be filled in
duplicate while the clearance proforma shall be filled in quadruplicate and
the computer proforma in duplicate.
One copy of the
University's Application Form alongwith 3 copies of clearance proforma and one
copy of computer proforma shall be submitted to the Embassy of Pakistan/ High
Commission of Pakistan in the country of residence of the candidate, which
shall be forwarded by the Embassy of Pakistan/High Commission to Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall grant political clearance to the candidate and then forward the case to The Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan for security clearance. The Ministry of Education, after completing the formalities shall forward the case to this University, through University Grants Commission, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad.
One copy of the
application form alongwith complete educational certificates, one copy of
clearance proforma, one copy of the computer proforma and one copy of passport
should be sent to the University directly as an advance copy.
The University shall not
issue any admission letter to a candidate unless clearance from the Ministry
of Education is recieved and the candidate holds proper Study Visa.
According to the rules of
the Government of Pakistan, an overseas candidate cannot seek admission in any
educational institution in Pakistan with a Tourist/Visit Visa. Candidates
seeking admission with Tourist/Visit Visa are, by regulations, liable to be
deported by the Government of Pakistan.
Candidates interested for
seeking admission in the International Islamic University, Islamabad are
therefore advised not to travel to Pakistan unless the University confirms
their admission after seeking clearance from the Ministry of Education and
arranges Study Visa for the candidates. This procedure should be strictly
adopted before any candidate travels to Pakistan.
The University will not be responsible for any candidate who enters Pakistan with a Tourist/Visit Visa and shall neither entertain his/her request for admission nor take any immigration responisbility. Similar procedure shall apply to overseas candidates applying for admission within Pakistan.
